It seems like the majority of the league wants players locked during game time and until waivers are processed. That's fine with me, although beside ahill, no one really gave an explanation why. Really, it should be the same with Sunday 3:05/3:15 and Sunday Night and Monday Night games too (with FCFS right up until game time of all games).

do you need an explantion why? its pretty self explanatory. If players lock and are unable to be freely picked up for sunday and monday games... why should thursday games be any different?

i don't actually see any argument for allowing TNF players to be added once their game starts.

I think everybody here wants FCFS until Sunday. Just lock players when their game starts. I was under the impression that's what was happening in the first place

i dont think i was part of any vote or rules change on this, being my first year

but this seems like common sense to me. Waivers are a way to keep owners from adding the hot player or injury replacement during game time, when other owners might be busy with other things. But we still want free management of our teams until kickoff. The NFL has gayly added thursday night games each week. But why on earth would anyone think it's magically fair to add those players once they begin playing? why would thursday night be any different than sunday?

locking players once their specific game starts is an option that has been around since i started playing FF in 1997

WW - I tried what Ahill suggested hopefully it works like he said. I made a rule change mid season which I should not of done but did so becasue the league wanted it. I admit not thinking about the TNF games -- I have tried to fix it. If this commish this doesn't work there should be a honor code just good form you don't take a guy on the FCFS playing TNF.

in the words of that guy that got beat by the cops " can we all just get along " now. I think things have been made right

well, for starters, the one i just mentioned where rules should be consistent. having thursday night players NOT lock but locking the rest of the league at kickoff sunday is not consistent whatsoever.

other arguments would revolve around why players should not be addable during game time. some people might work nights.

why would it be fair to reward the guy who gets to be at home on his couch with access to his personal computer or cell? That owner did no added research or leg work, they were simply tuned into the game when something relevant occurred.

another argument is that this league has a blind bid waiver system already in place. why have waivers at all? I think we all know why, so in that case why would we allow the free addition of players who have already "done something" for the current week?

If i took more time im sure i could come up with even more.... then again, I think its a common sense issue anyway.

its not my place to complain about rules. i have no idea what was voted upon or discussed prior to my joining the league. i play by whatever is in place, im just voicing my opinion. no hard feeling from me on any topic

I am on Xanax and oxycotin right now. Anyone wants to blame anyone for whatever blame me - I broke my own rule by making a rule change mid season which will NEVER happen again - but did so becasue I believed the masses wanted it. I am at fault for not taking into consideration the TNF games in regards to FCFS Waivers. I think I have it fixed = not sure how the system will run -- I just ask you all to NOT pick up and player playing in the TNF game FCFS untill the week after in case the set up I did doesn't work.

I hope this ends this now.

It works. It won't even let me drop Barden either though because he's already played. I tried and that is what the site told me.

The system doesn't allow me to do what you want -- " to have players who have played locked " the only answer would be an honor system that you won't pick up players who play thursday games as FCFS -- that would allow for us to keep the rules as they are.

I play in 8 other MFL leagues and yes the site allows you to lock players at the start of games. Pretty sure IBL is set up that way.

If the person playing Gepetto loses because of Barden going off blame me -- I did not think of the whole TNF thing -- I thought he was going to drop him he didn't which was within his rights as I never specified. I appologize for I guess the 10th time in the thread for my oversight.

In my defense, I followed the rules at the time. And if I drop Barden, which the site wouldn't allow me to do until waivers cleared on Tuesday night, then someone else could just pick up anyway. Plus, he might not be such a great play anyway. Oh, and the player I dropped, my handcuff for Murray, Felix Jones has been picked up by another owner. Barden was available to all during Thursday's game, I hesitated before the game, and again early in the game, after which I noticed both famousb and ahill visited our league site but didn't add Barden.
