Non-contending teams are still picking up players?
OD99 replied to eaglesfreak's topic in FFToday Board
Complaining over something that is allowed is much worse than that GM picking up a player from the WW. If your league doesn't want teams to compete the entire season then make a rule change. Buddy should have kept more of his auction money and it wouldn't be an issue. -
What will you change about your draft strategy next year?
OD99 replied to cyclone24's topic in FFToday Board
Don't think I will change it - being good at FF obviously takes some skill but damn it is so much luck too - guys getting injured, coaches not having good years, special teams give up points and change your teams game plan, etc... I still just try to get guys that have a high floor - if they can have a high ceiling too then great but I want consistency. I may yet win this week with Cooper/Dez and Reed putting up a combined total of 6 points for me - that is lucky in it's own right and the guy I am playing (as long as Blount doesn't go off for 30+) will probably be right if he says I got lucky this week... League scoring makes it hard to come to a final draft strategy as well....BPA in your eyes is a good standard. Would say I have started to not really pay attention to schedules in my evaluations either - always nice to play "bad" teams in the play-offs but even then you never know any given week so that is essentially taken out of my equation - same with bye weeks. -
A large FU fo Rivers for focking over my SD D & my SD kicker at the same time. That takes talent. Points off the board for me while giving points to my opponent AND preventing me from getting FG points on multiple occasions... Should be up for a bit by now down by a decent margin.
-
That could be bad... He certainly looked he was running gingerly in the 2nd half. Hope it isn't turf toe. At least now he gets a decent rest
-
Julius has been injured - he was more than fine before that. Of course Bortles has sucked donkey balls so he may not be as good moving forward... TE are all a crapshoot.
-
The players I've dropped that then go off - who you got?
OD99 replied to Law's topic in FFToday Board
Yep...no indication that Forsett would be dropped them and he hadn't seen double digit touches then BAM! Instant Starting RB1...fock -
I haven't heard much - is he ready to return any time soon? Broken hand for a receiver is pretty serious - what week are they expecting him back?
-
He was limited in practice today too so is officially Questionable for the game...
-
It also seemed like the Hawks didn't know or want to utilize him that well either - then you add the injury and of course people were concerned. Some people got a late steal if he keeps it up.
-
Veerrryyy frustrating so far...especially after going off in week 1 and then seemingly having a huge week 2 (or 3...whichever one he had the TD called back for being out of bounds). Haven't been able to watch 1 Raiders game yet though so is it the game plan or is he dropping balls? Just can't get open? Between him and Hill I might have the all bust team.
-
Against the worst run D in the league I think Hill is good enough. I can't believe he forgot how to run and he looked like a full on stud before - he will figure it out and with how that offense can move the ball his TD's alone really help his cause.
-
He is a great guy to use depending on match-ups if you have that luxury. Big, North/South runners are the most valuable late in season so I am expecting him to keep improving and eventually be that beast that helps win some play-off games starting week 14. Still...was pissed I didn't start him yesterday but how do you do that against the Broncos after his first 2 weeks?
-
Wow that is shocking! Only three 1st quarter TD passes in his career to date is insane! Not that is helps AR owners but Bortles ended up with a fine day...they are stacked at receiver across the board (maybe best receiving corps in the NFL top to bottom) so I expect they will end up find sooner than later.
-
Ya there won't be many using Seattle this week given how many used them in week 1. Now if the Browns had been able to hold on I think a decent % of people would have gone out again. Doubtful many will be out this week but I have to say this is going to get pretty hard pretty quick...haven't been many, "obvious" picks each week.

The only issue with all this Charles carrying the load talk is that he has never done it. Even when he was clearly more explosive than Jones they didn't give him too much...he will get plenty of touches to be sure but with the way that KC will probably run the ball this year there will be plenty to go around and when they are trying to grind down the clock I think they would rather Hillis take the beating then Jamaal. Why can't they both have good seasons just like JC and TJ had together?
