SLEEPER AUCTION REDRAFT RELEGATION 2020 The Leagues of Ordinary Gentlemen is an auction-redraft fantasy football league competing under the Gents FF Shields. All leagues under the Gents FF Shields compete on the Sleeper platform. We are currently seeking new franchise owners as part of an expansion initiative as we prepare to transition to a Relegation Format in 2020. Our Relegation Format for 2020 will follow the same basic premise of the British Premier League (soccer) in which the Premier League relegates (sends down) the two worst teams to the 2nd Division while the two top teams in the 2nd Division earn promotion to The Premier League. The evolution of The League of Ordinary Gentlemen to a Relegation format creates a need to add a full 12-team 2nd Division (The Jellybean League) that will compete annually for promotion to the Original 16-team League (The Premier League). Many of the 12 new Jellybean Gents are in the “franchise setup phase” now but we are still looking for several more prospects to round out our 2nd Division for the 2020 season. Are we right for you? Do you want your fantasy football experience to be more than anonymous, silent game play? Do you want to join in on the early years of a league that will be around for years to come? I have openings in two one Total Points Leagues (see post #2 below), where each week everybody plays everybody else and the week-to-week luck factor is greatly diminished. The two leagues are starting their 5th year and are clones (scoring, bylaws, etc. are all the same). The only difference is the date of the online draft. Most owners, but not all, are in both leagues. In Summary: 4Aces FFL Annual Redraft, 12 Franchises, $55 per Franchise. PPR, 15 player roster, 8 starters, 1-QB, 1-PK, 1-DT, 5-Flex (RB, WR, TE). On-line, live draft in the MFL draft-room that happens all at once, taking 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Draft scheduled start, the Monday BEFORE the first NFL Regular Season game, 8:00 PM ET. Total Points League - for regular season (weeks 1-13) AND playoffs (weeks 14-17). All points are reset to zero after week 13, and Playoff Team Performance Bonus points are added. Top 5 Franchise's make the playoffs, bottom 7 play for Consolation Bowl payout. 100% Payout, less MFL fee to Super Bowl winner (~$350), Runner-up ($100), 3rd place ($50) and Consolation ($50). If you are looking for a new FFB challenge, ask yourself, have you ever been in a H2H league where every week it seemed like you came up against the high score team? You had one of the highest point's totals in the league, but didnt even make the playoffs? Ever been in a Division where there were several good teams while other Divisions had teams that sucked? Still didn't make the playoffs? Ever have noncompetitive owners run a fire-sale trade to get key keepers for next year? Did that hurt your playoff chances? Well, if you answered yes to any of those, you find one or both of these leagues a better fit. Reluctant because these are not LeagueSafe leagues? I understand completely. It is hard to know who to trust. We used LeagueSafe the first three years just for the reason you express. All the owners felt LeagueSafe was too big of a hassle to deal with and coupled with the fees they charge to the winners, almost all owners wanted to go to direct pay. Are you always lucky or just that good? Here's a new league with the main twist being a $1,440 prize for the owner that scores the most points from week 1-16 over 2 consecutive seasons. The league is a slow auction league that redrafts each season with yearly prizes each season, but also has a sidepot to see who truly is the Auction King. - $50 entry a season, but everyone must prepay in full for 2 seasons for a total $100 buy-in. - LeagueSafe is used to hold the sidepot and majority approval vote to payout owners each season. - 100% of all entry fees are paid out minus the MFL hosting fee which is split by all owners. - 6 leagues of 12 teams each for 72 owners total. - Victory Points scoring used for regular season standings; Total Points race used during the playoffs. - 15 man rosters, 1 IR spot - Starting 9 man lineup: 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 4 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 DEF - FPPC scoring: 4pts/pass TD, PPR, 1.5 TE PPR - Rosters reset each season with a slow auction draft each preseason; No players are kept on rosters at all. - Prize money awarded to the top 1/3 of the league each individual season. - $1,440 to the owner that scores the most total points from week 1-16 in season 1 and season 2 combined. We use a slow online auction, Victory Points, blind bidding, and a Playoff Points Race to eliminate as much luck factor as possible.This is a giant league made up of 8 leagues with 12 teams in each subleague. You compete in your subleague starting from the slow startup auction until trying to make the playoffs. If you make the playoffs, it becomes a total points race for weeks 14-16 where you better hope you start the right players. Teams can win money each individual season and of course try to win $1,440 by either being super lucky for 2 auctions in a row, or dominating 2 auctions in a row. The most cumulative total points scored from weeks 1-16 in 2015 AND weeks 1-16 in 2016 will determine the winner of the $1,440 sidepot. -
