mgs316 14 Posted June 23, 2006 I'm in a 14 teamer and thought I drafted great, yet still didn't make the playoffs. Post draft I had: Green - bum Griese - bum James Chris Brown - semi-bum Mike Anderson Perry Rhodes C. Johnson A. Johnson - bum A. Lelie - bum E Kennison Bryant Engram Then picked up FWP after a week one loss. I thought I had an all-star team, but I guess that's why they play the games. Anyone else get FUBAR'd last year thinking they would roll to the title?
Nichee 0 Posted June 23, 2006 Steve Smith doing jack nothing in the championship game week and then getting tossed still burns me. Yes, still bitter. But, hey it's only been 6 months, give me time.

Boston 0 Posted June 23, 2006 I couldn't believe Culpepper "fell" to me in the third round. At the time it looked to be incredible value. Man, was I wrong in a big way. To make matters worse I also drafted Carson Palmer who was putting up monster numbers on my bench while Culpepper was starting and strangling the life out of my team. DA BALLHOG 0 Posted June 23, 2006 12 team 1 keeper league, last years starters Brooks/Leftwich later traded for Farvre Edge, Portis, Holt Gates Flex Ronnie Brown or Andre Johnson. 2nd most points scored for the season, 3rd worst record. The + side is we switched to a 2 keeper league (Edge and Portis) and I have the 3rd pick in the draft.

Querymeisters 0 Posted June 23, 2006 Bitter? Not really. Round 1: Priest Holmes Round 2: Domanick Davis Round 3: Steven Jackson Round 4: Curtis Martin (the defending rushing champion, right?) Round 5: Marc Bulger (good until he got hurt) End result: Won league championship Some of my later picks turned out OK: Steve Smith, Larry Fitzgerald, Mike Anderson, Jonathan Vilma, Brian Urlacher, Roy Williams (DAL) (Yes, it was an IDP league) Some waiver wire acquisitions that helped me: Joey Galloway, Eli Manning, Joe Jurevicius, Jerramy Stevens I tend to think I fought hard for this one and really earned it. No real busts except johnswon who was on your bench I understand you want to show off your team but this is the wrong thread The thread title asks if anyone is bitter abut last season, as you can see with the team I had I thought I would be contending for the championship not the 1st pick the following year. kristv 0 Posted June 23, 2006 Favre, Micheal Clayton, Muhsin, and my lack of a consistent TE (had Heath Miller and Conwell) killed me last season. Brunell sometimes made up for Favre, but most weeks I'd pick the wrong player or they would be about even.

GobbleDog 816 Posted June 27, 2006 I would have gone to the playoffs and won the SuperBowl, but I made one frikin bad pick last year in the 4th round. I know for a fact I would have won the SuperBowl, because I outscored everyone in each of the final 3 weeks. I missed the playoffs by just 1 game. What was that one pick??? Beginning of the 4th round... Andre Johnson or Steve Smith???.... Steve Smith or Andre Johnson???? I can't decide!!!
RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted June 27, 2006 Barely made the playoffs, lost first round - Look at the team the other guy started Final score: 100.30 - 120.48 My starting line-up: Fitzpatrick (7.00 pts - admittedly my weak link. I sat Favre for him correctly) SA (22.8 pts got pulled for entire 2nd half vs SF) Gado (25 pts - sat SJackson for him in a gutsy, but correct call) CJ (4.2 pts - killed me CJ) RMoss (3.80 - You killed me all saeson Randy) LJ Smith (4.5) Wilkins (9) SEA D (24) His: E Manning (19.28) Edge (24.4) JSmith (24.20) RSmith (11.4) Ben Troupe (5.8) (Yes he started 2 TE's, one of which was in place of an RB. For the record it didn't matter) Gonzo (14.4) Elam (7) CIN C (14) Yes, I lost to a guy who started two TE's.
J-Money 4 Posted June 27, 2006 one league last year, i thought i wuz stacked with LT2, Corey Dillon, and Jamal Lewis with my wr's being ROY williams, Andre Johnson, Donald Driver and Brandon Stokely
tecklc2112 7 Posted June 27, 2006 At one point or another last year I had all of these 'busts'/injuries on my team...J. Walker, K. Jones, J. Jones, Priest, Warner, McNair, Andre Johnson, Horn, Coles, F. Taylor, C. Rogers...I thought I drafted well and made some good trades to get some of these guys...But you all know the rest of the story...When all was said and done I finished 10th of 12 after winning the league the previous year. I will have my revenge this year though
mggoilers 0 Posted June 27, 2006 I had a great draft, team, and made solid pickups throughout the season. I'm in the semifinal game, and I'm up by 19 points going into Monday night. It's Green Bay vs. Baltimore. I have Gado, he has Heap. I'm stoked, because TE's could never outperform RB's Gado starts great, has 40 yards in the first quarter, and then tweaks his knee. Gone, and there went my season. Heap has the game of his life, and I lose by 15 points. I'm out of the money. I cut Gado ASAP after the season, and made a point to make my offseason about getting a reliable RB2. Traded for Edge to pair him with LT2. I'm thinking about changing my team name to "Samkon Gado's Revenge'. I am still bitter
unckeyherb 2 Posted June 27, 2006 No one is going to beat me at this.....here is my draft from a $50 money league: 1. Douche McSuckister 2. Julie Jones 3. Andre Johnson 4. Darrell Jackson damn dude . My draft in my money league: 1. Duece. went down 2. JJones. went down 3. Tory Holt. went down 4. DJax. went down I then made a trade to get Joe Horn, the week before he went down. Honorable mention: backup QB......Pennington. WR4.......Braylon Edwards The rest of my league has since made me promise not to draft ANYONE on the Eagles

HardTack 0 Posted June 28, 2006 Was up by 11 pts in playoffs before the superbowl and opponent only had Stover on Monday night football. Ravens had their highest pt total of the year against GB and scored 48 pts with Stover putting up 12 of them. Lose by 1 pt to a kicker....tell me that doesnt hurt Money league and winner got 400 cold ones...and I would have beat either team in the Super Bowl in scoring that week by 20+ pts. toofunny 0 Posted June 28, 2006 10 teamer, I was spending the money before week 1 (someone took denver D 2nd overall) Bledsoe Randy Moss Steve Smith Fitz Portis McGahee Shokley Bench Horn (from WW) KJ Burleson (from WW) forget the rest Yahoo scoring, 20/1, tds 6. Biggest reason you need stud RBs. My WRs were great, but getting 2-3 points from your RB is brutallll. Plus TD heavy leagues suck ass. Yeah, missed the playoffs.
