Trade Deadline coming up - Dire need of opinions/help

3 player keeper league. QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1WR/RB slot, TE, Kicker, Defense

NO PPR

10 yds rushing/receiving = 1 pt

TD = 6 pt

 

 

Here's my keepers current

 

Gates, Steve Smith, Portis.

 

Optional keeper (if i do a 2 for 1) = Chambers

 

 

Trade 1: Team B wants Steve Smith and Gates, and my #37 pick for Julius Jones, his #6 overall pick (4th round essentially)

 

My keepers would then be: Portis, Julius Jones, and Chris Chambers (he's on my team and would now be my 3rd keeper)

 

my draft picks would be #6, 12,13,25.

 

I would most likely draft a Kevin Jones/Drougns caliber back at #6 unless a Boldin falls to me.

At 12 and 13 i'd probably take some Rookie RBs and grab another Wideout at #25.

 

 

 

Trade 2: Team B wants Steve Smith and Chris Chambers for Domanick Davis and his #23 pick

 

My keepers now would be: Portis, DDavis, and Gates

 

Id now draft #12,13,23,25. I'd probably go after a rookie RB and a WR in picks 12-13 and probably do the same thing in picks 23/25 unless there are 2 strong WRs left

 

 

what do u think is better..

please let me know which trade u like better...i only have a day to really decide which way to go. i like the mboth honesty but if you prefer 1 RB extremely more than the other or see value in 1 trade, please let me know.

I like Portis, DD, and Gates along

with 12, 13, 23 and 25.

It would be nice if you could end up with Chambers as well.

rbs are the premium.

here's the thing with the JJones trade

 

i now have 6,12,13 picks and keepers would be JJOnes, Portis, Chambers

 

i can get a KJones or Drougns to fill my slot position or even draft a Harrison or Wayne. There will be some good WRs at 6 but by 12-13 it'll move to the 2nd tier -- Roy Williams, Donald Driver, etc.

 

 

so it gives me little more flexibility

 

 

if i go with the DDavis

 

i have 12,13,25,26. my keepers are DDavis, Portis, Gates

 

so i need proably draft RB/WR, RB/WR for those picks

 

i d get a downgrade at WR but now i d probably draft a rookie (Williams or Maraoney should they fall to me)

 

 

 

is the flexibility worth it?

 

so far 2 have said no and to take DDavis.

 

any more thoughts??

You've got a stud at each position. I'd hold onto what you've got...you should be golden!

If you decide to make a trade, I wouldn't take DD this season. I've been speculating that his knee is more serious than the team suspected since the middle of last year and now my suspicions are only stronger. He's not going to be 100% at any point this season. JJ has his own questions, of courrse, but as of right now, health is not one of them. If JJ takes the field and is healthy, Barber won't stand a chance at any meaningful time.
