'07 Player Projections By NFL Team

Recommended Posts

To prepare FFTodayers for the upcoming ’07 season, starting 5/14 will post threads listing offensive players by NFL team and invite posters to attach projections to each offensive player.

Posting of just commentary on one or mutliple players, instead of projections is welcomed and encouraged as well.

Will post 3 team threads per week (2 during 4th of July week) alphabetically by team city, so will have all 32 NFL teams posted before August 1st.

Through beginning of FF season will hopefully have this thread pinned as an ‘Archives’ thread, so will have opportunity to post replies for any previous team at any time.

Notes:

HC LKiffin: Will be 1st year as NFL HC, 1st year as Raiders HC

QB JMcCown: Will be 6th season, 1st with Raiders

RB DRhodes: Will be 6th season, 1st with Raiders

Key Questions For '07 Season:

Who will be long term QB for Raiders season, McCown?Russell?Walters?

What will be carry (overall/rz/gl) between Jordan and Rhodes?

Will any other RBs make an impact?

Wil JPorter finally meet potential?

How will RCurry/TTaylor fit in?Will they contribute?

Does anybody care?

I might take a late round flyer on Jordan for RB depth. That's about it. Fantasy wise, there's really nothing good to say about Oakland. Last year they finished last or near last in almost every offensive category. Now they're being led by a freakishly big rookie QB.

Get ready for some ugly football.

Do you remember who their coach was last year? Tom Walsh was still callin for 7 step drops when they had no o-line. Kiffin is unproven, but i don't think it'll be a stretch to say he's an improvement over the previous staff.

I don't think they have any studs but i'd be willing to take late round flyers on:

Jerry Porter - No one really said anything bad about him except for Shell. He's never had a bad rep, lazy, nothing like that. The year before last he was really starting to come on strong and i'm guessing he can perform at that same level. Biggest knock on him is the QB situation.

Curry - He's been good when he's been healthy, which hasn't been very often. If he can stay healthy i think he can put up decent numbers.

Jordan - He's not that bad. If the o-line can perform, i think he'll do good.

McCown - I mean with a 17th round pick, why not take a chance on a guy who "can be this years Brees." Ok, i'm not a believer, but who knows.
