edjr 5,564 Posted January 4, 2010 Julian Edelman? No seriously, who is it? I don't think the NFL has been turning college QBs into NFL for long, but who do you think the best is? Matt Jones? I must be missing an obvious one, right?
Chronic Husker 85 Posted January 4, 2010 Top three off the top of my head Randle El Curry :gulp: Kordell :gulp:
edjr 5,564 Posted January 4, 2010 Anquan Boldin Just because he played the position, doesn't mean he was a QB. I guess Ronnie Brown is a QB too. In just 23 games at wide receiver at FSU, Anquan Boldin caught 118 passes for 1,790 yards (averaging 15.2 yards per reception) and 21 touchdowns.

edjr 5,564 Posted January 4, 2010 Easy, Hines Ward, thread ovah. X As a wide receiver for the University of Georgia Bulldogs (1995–1998), Ward's 149 career receptions for 1,965 yards placed him second in team history. He also played tailback and quarterback, and totaled 3,870 all-purpose yards, second only to Herschel Walker in Bulldogs history. In 1996, Hines had 52 receptions for 900 yards, and also ran 26 times for 170 yards. In 1997, Hines hauled in 55 passes and scored six TDs, getting All-SEC honors in the process. He also holds Georgia records for Pass Attempts, Pass Completions, and Passing Yards in a bowl game, from the 1995 Peach Bowl in which he completed 31 of 59 passes for 413 yards. again, just because they played the position a couple times or whatever, doesnt make them a QB. Is Ronnie Brown considered a QB? Lets try and play along for once, I know this is FFT and we like to just make sh1t up, but Ward was a WR in college.
JackARoot 2 Posted January 4, 2010 My vote goes to Randle El. I'm a Hoosier fan, so I have followed him. Not a great reciever, but I was happy to see him throw a TD pass in the Superbowl.

JT 137 Posted January 4, 2010 I'll bet there are HOFers from back in the day that meet the criteria. Matt Jones? Are you serious? Randle El was a better college player and is a better NFL player. How about Josh Cribbs?
JT 137 Posted January 4, 2010 He started at QB his final game at FSU. HTH Acknowledged to have the best arm on the Cardinals. Reports say 75 yards with ease.

jgcrawfish 232 Posted January 4, 2010 Oh i forgot, you made the thread. dude attempted 122 passes in his first year...that's more than Matt Jones attempted in his career most likely. Schauermann 1 Posted January 4, 2010 It's a relatively new thing, I guess those are the only real choices. I know who the best Safety that was a QB in college is. Scott Frost Edjr - you are wrong on this one as well. Have you ever heard of Nolan Cromwell. All-American QB at Kansas - NFL Defensive Player of the Year at Safety in 1980 and four time pro-bowl safety 1980-1983. Member of the NFL all decade team for the 1980s. I like Scott Frost - he is the WR coach at my alma mater, Oregon. But he doesn't get anywhere close to Nolan Cromwell in this argument. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nolan_Cromwell

JKAP21 0 Posted January 5, 2010 Played QB at all in college.... Hines Ward Played predominantly at QB.... Josh Cribbs!! (QB for 4 years at Kent State... hasn't had much of an impact specifically as a WR but that is his position and he will go down as the greatest return man in the history of the NFL)
bweiser831 0 Posted January 6, 2010 the nfl started before 1996 people. go back and look at some history. nolan cromwell is the correct answer. josh cribbs? matt jones? the internet is your friend. use it.
