Never have. What are the advantages of using it? What did you make?

I'm curious as well. My uncle has one and liked it enough to buy one for his kids. I've seen them at Sams Club but the last thing I need is another thing.

Much less messy than a regular fryer. Same with infrared fryer. Gives you close to the same taste as a regular fryer but it still misses the true authenticity of a regular fryer with grease. Much healthier though so theres that

It's like convection cooking meets frying.

Minus all the oil.

Half dozen frozen/halfway thawed shrimp peeled - sprayed with olive oil and added Cajun spice (called Slap Yo Mamma)

Cook at 330 degrees 4 mins - flip spray season - cook another 4 mins.

Tablespoon of butter. Mix. Add to toasted bun. Fantastic.

Cooked frozen perogies same way. Minus the seasoning.

Frozen Brussel sprouts. 4 minutes. Awesome.

Same Cajun seasoning on a can of chick peas. Great snack.

More tomorrow!!!!

Was it dry at all? I know when cooking with them it doesnt have as much juice in it as it normally would from cooking with oil (at least thats how it is in the infrared fryer).

The perogies were a little over done and dry. But the shrimp was absolutely perfect. Dipped the toasted bun in the remaining seasoned juice before building the sandwich. Perfectly delicious.

Sh1t now I want shrimp. Ladys husband just came back today from shrimping and my parents just bought 40 pounds of it already deheaded and cleaned. Would love to try them in the air fryer since we almost always sauté them in butter and my sister/BILs dry seasoning.

I have had one for a little over a year. For my kids, it works great. They pop in some chicken tenders and they get crispy chicken. Fries come out good. Fish filets are good too.

Not as good as fried, but that is because you skip all the oil. Definitely worth the investment, but I still like an oil fryer every once in a while and my convection baking is still a big part of what I do.

I keep hearing about them and the wife is interested. Sounds like it at least works well enough though.

$75

Worth it.

Yes, they are worth it. Biggest challenge we have is having the kids clean it after they use it, but they don't clean anything.

Any brand recommendation? Wife wants one.

Have 3.7 quart Go Wise USA and paid $65 on Amozon.

We have a Black & Decker which is relatively easy to clean up, unless you are my kids, in which case it is as impossible as putting dirty dishes in the dishwasher.

Thank you. There's only the four of us so clean ups are pretty easy.

One order at a time in the air fryer would take the same time as baking them all at once in the oven for my family. Now, do a dozen at a time in 11 min and I'm a buyer!
