Seahawks greatest offseason ever.

He's a scape goat. The personnel on that team sucks. I think they should just clean house and start over. Trade Wilson for 2 first rounders and a 2nd. Trade Baldwin to the Bears for a second and fourth. Then go and try to build an offensive and defensive line along with drafting a couple mid round QBs.

Trading Wilson makes no sense. You're just going to use those picks trying to find the next Wilson.

Scape goat my @ss. He shoud've been fired 3 years ago minimum.

Yeah, and he is personally responsible for the players being one of the worst olines in the league?

And sure, keep Wilson for the mext 6 years and finish out of competition every one of those years because the rest of the team sucks. Good strategy.

That was a good move by the Seahawks.

No need too trade away your best personal and go back wards.

Bring in a new OC that can mesh with the personal.

Good job Seahwaks.

Oops sorry I meant good.

Listen, if you want to fire this whole god damn team, I don't care.

But as far as I'm concerned. I haven't missed a Seahawks game in 26 years, and this guy sux. I called for his firing the year they won the superbowl, so when I say 3 years to late, I'm being generous.

They won a bowl in spite of him. They got back in spite of him. They lost one because of him. And have been pathetic because of him. Wilson has done nothing but mask his deficiencies.

Go back to Minnesota, and have Blair Walsh drive you there.

Best of wishes health wise to him and his family, but don't step foot near a seahawks team facility ever again.

Feel free to disagree, as you obviously do. But nothing will change my mind that this is the best thing they've done since drafting Wilson.

I have tears of joy at this moment of my life.

Now some reports that they might let their DC go also.

What's your feelings about that move Kopy?

Has for the OC, when you hav the ball at the one in the Super Bowl, yeah you run.

Enough said.

Think the Seahawks letting him go is a good and about time move.

Sorry about my missing good earlier.

Smart. Accuse the OC for the team not being able to block or tackle anymore. The team will hold onto Wilson until he retires, never get any value out of him, not win for the next 10 years, and when he is gone, they can start to rebuild.

I'm not too sure. I'm kind of indifferent on Richards. I loved Bradley, and hated to see him go. But then when we replaced him with Quinn. I thought it was a great move, and even though I was sad to see Bradley go. I was happy with the Quinn replacement.

Richards, I guess I really don't have an opinion on. I don't love the guy like I did with Bradley or Quinn, but yet I don't hate the man like I did/have with Bevell.

Sorry, that's a really sh!tty answer for you.

I'm really not trying to start an argument with you. Your opinion is just that, your opinion. As is mine. I'm certainly not the sehawks gospel on this board.

Believe it or not, Phillybear was actually the smartest, most in depth fan out of all of us here. And he was actually right a good 75% of any, and everything he ever said as far a I'm concerned.

But do you honestly believe Bevell isn't, and has not been a problem for multiple seasons?

I agree 1000%..... Although I'll take it a step further and Cable should go too. He's done nothing to help the run game and line, with a ton of draft capital spent.

But, Bevel was a big issue. Can't call a valid game and his schemes are old, predictable, and not good. The only time we did anything was when Wilson broke out of the called play and made something out of nothing.

It's no wonder that ALL our good coaches have been plucked away, yet year after year nobody wanted Bevel.

HIT THE ROAD. Couldn't be more happy today.

No man It's not that I am totally against what you say. I just think they need to clean house. Offense, defense, maybe even HC. Get what you can out of their best assets to rebuild. This team is living in the past only.

I'd say clean house with Bevel and Cable, and some players that don't buy in.

But, not Wilson. He's our franchise, and if you can't see that by now then your truly missing something. Maybe a new offensive scheme would help you see the reality.

I'd say not Pete either, since he actually helped win a SB for a losing franchise that never won anything before.

Pete relies on an Offensive Coordinator. You don't see Pete with a playbook do you? He was always more of a def mind anyway.

No, it was Bevel running the show on offense with Cable.

They need to conform to Wilson skills better, call a better overall game plan with screens, RB throws, quick plays, better offense in general, etc.

Complete philosophy change - New coordinators could do this.

But gutting all players is stupid.

It's stupid to think or want a team to trade their franchise QB who has already won a SB with the team. A lot of cap $$$ was tied into that defense remember? You don't have to trade RW just to rebuild the team. They need to start cutting/trading and getting out of bad contracts and look to draft and sign some guys to that OL.

Gotta say I completely agree about it being 3 years too late.

Its 2nd and 11, lets run the ball up the gut, no one will see that coming.

3rd and 14? Lets try and 2 yard pass to the sideline.

Bevel is like that one guy in high school that could hit three pointers from the top of the key all day long, but couldnt sink a layup. The personel, game, and skill sets changed; but his planning didnt.

I think Cable should stay, he has done well with the crap he has been given. If we get the LT on IR back plus the new one, we will be solid, especially if we can draft a LG.

I think Luke Wilson is good enough to take over Jimmy's role, and Jimmy never became the game changer we wanted.

Davis/McKissic is actually a really solid combo, they were the only two that should have been in rotation. Especially with a 2 back set, moving one out to WR (Davis caught 15/18, better than he gets credit for).

The most glaring weakness going into this draft will be the D Line, as we didnt get enough pressure when it mattered. Then a Sherm replacement. And a tall WR, we have speed but not size.

SEA felt Bevell had to go, then shook up the rest of the assistants because they are dismantling the defense and moving to a passing RW led team imo.

The hawks will no longer be led by the LOB players as I think Carroll is finally fed up with them. He'll deal whoever he can and cut anyone else who costs too much and/or won't buy in on the change.

It would be wise to resign Jimmy G as the red zone threat because all the wrs are short. As tempting as it would be to draft a big wideout I think they'd be better off spending that draft capital on the o and d lines.

Like I said, cleaning house. My take is that they will not be relevant for quite a while and they should use the few assets they have as trade bait and start it all over. Otherwise, they will delay the chances of getting back on the map for quite a while.

Cable being gone is a sign to me that there may be a god. Im glad that Bevell is gone too. Im ambivalent about whether Richard stays. Of course whoever they find as replacements makes a big deal. But I highly doubt anyone can do a worse job than Cable. His input on which linemen to draft seemed poor, his zone blocking scheme didnt seem to work, and he didnt seem able to coach people up.

Well see how the rest of the offseason goes for both player personnel and coach hires, but Im optimistic on the Hawks for 2018 at the moment. A slight improvement on the o-line and getting a few players healthy could cause the team to make a big jump forward.

Seahawks finish last in their division next year.

Youre a pretty funny guy! Anything is possible but I will bet you a lot of money that they are in the top two. But that is partially due to the Cardinals needing a rebuild and the 49ers likely needing another year to complete their rebuild. If they do a lot in FA it could be sped up though.

If you were a personal friend of mine, I would probably throw a few hundred bucks at this time, but all we can do is see what happens and discuss later. You are right about Arizona but I think SF takes a big step next year with Seattle continuing their downfall.

Do you actually live in Seattle?

I was thinking about writing a book, "Clueless in Seattle". It has a catchy ring to it.

I agree. SF, Hawks, and Lambs in some order.

Write away if you like. Just wait until Seattle craps out and then publish.

Sometimes, you trade away your best lineman for an overrated tight end, get stuck having to pay your midround diamond in the ruff franchise qb, and invest mountains of money into your best 5 defensive players. Injuries happen, your remaining good linemen get hurt too, your other linemen end up being bad, and stuff doesnt work out because your division loses Jeff Fisher and gets better.

Also, your OC is a little shaky sometimes and brutally horrible/cute at the wrong time other times.

All of this could be true at the same time. With Seattle, I think it is. They are going to have to rework everything. Their defense could end up being totally different folks next season. Their oline has to be a healthy Brown along with different/better folks. And their team isnt constructed well enough otherwise to be funding a 10-million dollar tight end that is not Gronk. They have some work to do!

Don't tell this to others on this site as they think Seattle's problems all resided in their now fired OC. Oh Glory Be!! Seattle has just had it's best off-season ever!!!

They will be in the pits for years while Russell Wilson will waste away trying to win games on his own instead of providing value to both Seattle in the form of compensation via a trade and another team in the form of gaining a decent QB. Wilson had a decent career up to this point, but it is over as long as he is with Seattle.

Brown and Britt are a damn fine way to start. It's gonna be interesting to see who the new coach is. But whoever it ends up being, knowing you at least got a LT and C has got to put a smile on your face.

Darrell Bevell has been fired!

Seattle has gone downhill from the time Lynch got older and then retired, plus all of the injuries they've had. Old saying goes 'you can't fire the players but you can fire the coach'. None of this is Bevell's fault, only thing he did wrong was pass, letting NE steal that SB.

Passing vs running there wasnt Bevells call. The exact pass call was his though so he does get some blame as slants are not something that Wilson specializes in.

If theyre hiring Brian Schottenheimer as OC (as rumored) to replace Bevell they might end up missing Bevell.
