To stay sort of on topic, I have been listening to Irish punk music when running recently. I now prefer that to metal/hard rock for workout music.

Flogging Molly is a good start.

Probably not what you are looking for though.

Love that Sabbath stoner rock sound.

I could go all night with these types of bands.

Gojira is probably my favorite metal band. I am not a huge metal guy so I don't have a ton of experience to pull from

They are just outside of metal, more like Linkin Park

Bad Wolves

Iconic metal drumming and vocal, the rest of their musicality I'm meh on.

Bleeding Through returned with a new album

you guys are 40+ years of age. isn't it time to mix in some mellow singer songwriters , smooth jazz and whatnot? :)

I listen to that stuff too. Well not smooth jazz but I listen to a lot of indie pop.

Don't really dig the Cookie Monster vocals so many bands have now.

Steve Vai. He battled Ralph Macchio in the guitar duel in Crossroads.

Vai deserved an oscar for losing a guitar showdown.

YouTube "Tender Surrender" or "For the love of God" it's not Metal but impressive none the less

Mofo gots skillz

Drobeski doesn't have a metal band for you, but he does have an elastic one that snapped off after his last gastric bypass surgery.

I like a tougher type of screaming, mixed with actual singing. That guy sounds like his legs are being crushed in industrial machinery. He's too high pitched, and straining too much.

Well they're all over 18 now, but in that video they were 15 or 16. :nono:

ETA You might be OK after all. I just learned the age of consent in Japan is 13. :shocking:
