This is a tough one......

It's a cliche, but Billy Jean is probably the best song he ever wrote.

Too many, way too many good ones to narrow it down to one.

I love pretty much all of it.

I mean, Damn.. RollingStone did a top 50..

Exactly. Which is why I figured it would make a good thread. Extremely tough which makes it even better

Did he actually write any songs?

If so did he write any when he was in The Jackson Five?

If so, I'd have to pick one of those.

Never been a fan of the 80's and beyond dance / pop crap

He did write some on his own albums but not all. With the Jackson 5, the studio wrote the songs.

Not sure about his Jax 5 days, I seriously doubt he did........but he wrote a ton of his stuff as an adult - or whatever he was.

"Human Nature" was catchy... but read the lyrics.

"If the say why, why?"

"Tell them it's just human nature"

"I like living this way"

"I like lov'n this way"

Has a different meaning when sang by a notorious pedophile.

One of the best produced songs of all time. A masterpiece, and apparently done in 1 take.

At that point he was in full freak mode.

If he truly wrote man in the mirror, the lyrics would have been wildly different.

I'm gonna make a change,
For once I'm my life
It's gonna feel real good,
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right
As I, unlock the the collar on Feldman
Unlock Haim from the basement
These kids are blowing my mind

Funny you should bring this up. I know it's a spin-off, but I've actually been rewatching a lot of old Janet Jackson videos. I think a lot of her songs are arguably better. Certainly more listenable. And the videos? I know Michael gets all the credit, but technically from a dancing and production and directions standpoint? Janet Jackson wins hands down.

Unless you think standing on a dummy car with fake glass and grabbing your crotch and Swinging crowbar to break the windshield is a solid dance move.

Jenna Dewan who was married to that Magic Mike guy was on TV a while ago. She said learning the steps to Rhythm Nation was the hardest dance she ever had to learn. And she's a pro at that stuff.

I loved All right now. Cid Cherise, Cab Calloway, Nicholas Brothers? And about 30 different dance styles. Wow.

Gonna call out that one bit in Black or white as the example of MJ dancing? The dude was a dance prodigy and an icon. His videos are known as the top tier in music. Not trying to take away from Janet, she has a string of hits and great videos a mile long herself.

Wasn't there something between the home alone kid and MJ? Back in the day I swear I remember them being besties or something??? And I seem to remember the Corey's being neverlander ranchers as well. It's fuzzy but I swear I remember those 3 were frequent attendees at MJ's ranch.

Dude was a definite pedo. No question in my mind. You know what's funny? The MJ supporters are more deranged than the Trumpeters. Try and argue he diddled little boys with one of those jagoffs and you'll be locked up in stupidity all damn day lol.

MJ was wildly talented, but as a middle aged white guy, I give Nickleback more credibility lol
