wiffleball 4,635 Posted July 12, 2018 Fock me... On the May call, Schnatter was asked how he would distance himself from racist groups online. He responded by downplaying the significance of his NFL statement. “Colonel Sanders called blacks n-----s,” Schnatter said, before complaining that Sanders never faced public backlash. Schnatter also reflected on his early life in Indiana, where, he said, people used to drag African-Americans from trucks until they died. He apparently intended for the remarks to convey his antipathy to racism, but multiple individuals on the call found them to be offensive, a source familiar with the matter said. After learning about the incident, Laundry Service owner Casey Wasserman moved to terminate the company’s contract with Papa John’s. So, if someone says, "Geez, Django sure used the word Niger a lot", that's a terminable offense? Oh Fock this...

SenatorRock 708 Posted July 12, 2018 Papa John is forced out of his company yet Bill Maher still has a show, one used the N word on a private conference call, the other used the N word on live TV. That pretty much sums up the hypocrisy and lunacy of the TDS/SJW/VFN crowd.

trumpurethra 42 Posted July 12, 2018 Fock me... So, if someone says, "Geez, Django sure used the word Niger a lot", that's a terminable offense? Oh Fock this... LOL bull$hit. He is gone because company sales are sliding. He is gone because he is LOSING. If he was WINNING he would still be chairman. This was just the reason the rest of the board member's used to fire his azz but rest assured, it was a LONG time coming. This is the same dumazz blamed the NFL protests for slumping sales. He's a typical trumpeter. Blame everyone else when you suck instead of looking at yourself in the mirror. Half a f@g.
Strike 3,956 Posted July 12, 2018 All he had to say was "Colonel Sanders called Blacks the 'N' word." Let's look at this another way. The conf. call was between Papa John and a PR agency he hired to help him avoid saying something like what got him in trouble re: the NFL. So, after he says the Colonel Sanders thing, wouldn't this have been a good opportunity for this PR firm to say "Yeah, don't say that again." And no one mentions it to anyone else and it dies. But Noooooo........someone had to get butthurt offended and leak the conversation to the media. Now he gets forced to resign for saying something a large percentage of America has said (or similar) at some point in their life. DUMB.

trumpurethra 42 Posted July 12, 2018 Good point. It's like the Dr kicking you out for coughing. Also agree the fix was in. It's not a "FIX" when you suck at your job dude. It's called getting the axe, getting fired, let go for pi$$ poor performance, etc, etc. We all deal with it, us normal folks, everyday deal with sh!t like this. Because this guy is a chairman and was on TV he is above reproach? GTFO here. He can go get bent. And if he was any good at his job he would still have one. The fix was in....lol get a grip. Jesus, ease off the gas there first skippee. Dude was the owner until he sold a while ago and had a service contract. But apparently he was making his own commercials and airing them with his own money in key markets. This was after he dragged the whole NFL protest thing. Regardless, pretty stupid way to get let go. But it sounds like they were just waiting for an opportunity to revoke his contract. Sounds like a huge buy out, termination charge. So he's fine, but what a stupid way to go out. KSB2424 3,082 Posted July 12, 2018 Wait. He used it in that context? Yeah, come on. He didnt call anyone that (malice), more of a historical way. Thats weak.

KSB2424 3,082 Posted July 12, 2018 See this is the problem. Here, at the Geek Club is the only place I've actually seen or heard of the actual CONTEXT the word was used in by this Papa John dude. This changes my whole opinion on the story. I just assumed he used the word in anger or talking about an employee or something. Again, this is why you cannot trust reporting of stories in the media. Deliberately leaving out details or context in an effort to make the story bigger than it is.....is just as bad as lying outright.
MDC 5,890 Posted July 12, 2018 This is why hes no longer on the University of Louisville board of directors. Boo boo. He stepped down as CEO of Papa Johns after he complained about the NFL protests and white supremicist groups started calling PJ the pizza of he alt right. In a few months he will probably say something else stupid and step down from his neighborhood association or local PTA.
