Cloaca du jour 2,064 Posted September 3, 2018 Can anyone remember a year with this many untested qbs? Even those with less than 3 years experience... Other than Brady...Big Ben ..Rogers and Brees.. its a preschool out there.
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted September 3, 2018 Brady, Ben, Brees, Rogers, Stafford, Ryan, Wilson, Newton, Dalton, Luck, Rivers, Eli... Thats close to a third of the league with quite veteran starters.
Big Guy 1,400 Posted September 3, 2018 No......and yes it does seem to be a young crop. Wow, right now I can only think of a handful of quality veteran / senior QB's, and half of them are close to retirement. Brady Rodgers Brees Rothlesberger Rivers Manning who am I missing? Big Guy 1,400 Posted September 3, 2018 Stafford Yes, and Wilson crossed my mind as well but they imo are the next tier as far as vets I do believe, more mid level.

Big Guy 1,400 Posted September 3, 2018 What? Am I wrong? Not sure of the age of Stafford & Wilson, but they seem younger than the others I listed.
Cloaca du jour 2,064 Posted September 3, 2018 Rivers...not an elite level qb.cant stay on field. Russell...im not convinced.. Eli...too bi-polar Luck has how many full seasons? 2 Maybe I overstated...but the average age of this years qbs has to be the lowest in modern era.
Cdub100 3,379 Posted September 3, 2018 Am I wrong? Not sure of the age of Stafford & Wilson, but they seem younger than the others I listed. Stafford and Wilson are 30 and 29 respectively. Sure they are younger but I would categorize them as veterans It all comes down to how long a player is in the league before you categorize them as veterans. I would go with OP and say anything over 3 years is a veteran..

Rivers never misses games Yes the NFL has an influx of qbs, but thats because there was a span of time where only 1 or 2 viable starters were coming out at a time. It's all cyclical. There was a big gap at rb talent, and now potential super stars are coming out in droves

I don't recall Rivers having this problem, Bradford sure.
lickin_starfish 1,479 Posted September 3, 2018 The QB's aren't making the NFL a mess. It's going to be the new helmet rule that rains down a schitstorm. Multiple games each week will be turned by the whims of officials.
Voltaire 4,556 Posted September 3, 2018 Bradford Ryan Flacco Allen Newton Trubisky Dalton Taylor Prescott Keenum Stafford Rodgers Watson Luck Bortles Mahomes Rivers Goff Tannehill Cousins Brady Brees Manning Darnold Carr Wentz Roethlisberger Wilson Garoppolo Winston Mariota Smith Blue is young but trustable (I put Garoppolo there because he only has a half year of starter experience.)
