I'm in, but I can't say for sure if I'll be trying to win or not until I see how many people take part. Sheer a sheep vs skin a ship, only once or many times, or however the saying goes.

Id like to get in. Whats it cost and who do I pay and by when?

$30 per tourney x8 = $240

$20 For the tourney's top 2 winners - $5 for the person who picked the tourney winner - $5 for the Winner of the Edex Cup

if we have 10 participants

1st place $140

2nd place $60

picking winner $50 (if no one picks winner it will carry over to next tourney, if last tourney of year, it will go to winner)

$400 goes to winner of Edex (assuming 10 people for 8 tournies)

One change this year.

Random draft order and serpentine draft for 1st tourney only. Reverse order of finish and no snake draft for every tourney after

Anything special about paypal...fees...ease of use? Need a cc..right?

Can use a bank. It's better and less fees I believe.

The only key is to send money to "sending to friend" so there are no fees.

Whats wrong with a snake draft? Serious question. Anything else, besides some sort of auction seems like randomly engineering the most fairest method of drafting.

After the 1st week, the winner will be at the greatest disadvantage.

I think the NFL should use a snake draft, maybe it will keep teams from tanking.

In a snake draft, that has even number rounds, each team gets the EXACT same numerical average draft position. For example 10 teams 6 rounds.

First Pick has picks 1, 20, 21, 40, 41, 60

Last Pick has picks 10, 11, 30, 31, 50, 51

First pick's average pick is 30.5 (183 / 6)

Last pick's average pick is also 30.5 (183 / 6)

As are ALL the teams.

Non-Snake is totally lopsided to the first pick, he gets picks 1, 11, 21 , 31, 41, 51 for an average pick of 26

Last guy gets picks 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 for an average pick of 35.

I don't care what we do but just know you are making the drafting process totally lopsided towards who picks in the top half versus who picks in the bottom half. It's math? :dunno:

I need to get off my ass and make us an official Edex Cup Trophy.

The winner will be responsible for shipping it off to the next year's winner, and so on.

Seems like a hella pain in the ass to administer. More pressing issue would be what to do in the event someone no-shows on the draft. Also, set a time limit for picks. If after an hour (or whatever) you don't pick or have someone make your pick, you get skipped.

I guess I am at a loss why we wouldn't snake draft every time...I've never even heard of a draft like this where you are punished so severely for doing well in the previous tournament.
