It’s ridiculous that it’s unconstitutional for AOC to run for pres.

I zoomed in because I thought I saw nipple in that dress. Nope.

I would normally say a dumb hot chick who think's she is smart is often times a good roll in the hay, simply to tag and move on, but this chick is not hot.

Whenever we read something like this it just proves we are on the right side and reconfirms everything.

The left hates the constitution when it doesn't get them power.

Hmmm... Not sure, I bet she has 8 inch diameter areolas. And a whole bunch of bumps on those things.

3 thoughts.

First--this article postulates she could be s good prez cause she has a nickname. Yep. They went there

second- no mention of a minimum age thst woukd be reasonable. Does that mean a 16 yr old YouTube star could pull it off? Plus if shes so great now wont she be better in 6 years?

Finally who gives a fock what a writer for vox(whatever that is) thinks.

Vox is treated in the MSM as a legitimate internet site, God help us all.

You are going to see many things go on, on her behalf, over the next couple of years. Quotes and tweets attributed to her. You won't hear a peep out of her, though. She is already being well handled.

I do not want my president to be under 35 years old. I don't see how anyone can have enough life experience to run the entire country that young

But...like... she has ...like...a nickname!

Then don't vote for them

I think 35 is to young. What was the life expectancy when that was written? 40-45 seems like the right age to me. I would never vote for someone younger than 40 for POTUS.

If you don't think the likes of Mark zuckerberg,Jared kushner and so on are not more intelligent than the previous 5 presidents idk what to tell you...

Simple being around longer in no way makes you more intelligent

Trump is the 1st president since Clinton that we know is in charge. Those who aren't in charge have been a danger to us, and therefore the world. 35 is too young to navigate Washington, but it's not as bad as 25.

Not everyone shares her brand of politics, of course, but her constituency has exploded beyond the initial set of ideologues who powered the challenge to Crowley because of her incredible wit, charisma, social media savvy, and basic political smarts.

The article is stupid. 35 is fine, probably should be upped to 40. Agree with 90s here, would have a hard time voting for someone under 40. Simply being around longer won't make some one more intelligent, but it generally makes someone less ignorant and more humble. Time should also show that you can weather a storm.

Guile and savvy trumps (no pun intended) intelligence in DC 10 out of 10 times. Those traits come with age.

LMAO...i read thread before the article and thought the nickname thing was a joke. Its not. The "journalist" actually calls AOC a political superstar because people use her initials. Wow.

I could get down with this, but I'd like an age cap as well as a floor. Maybe 65, applies to potus, Congress, and judges.

She won her primary because 22% of registered democrats showed up to vote. Plus shenanigans.

She won her primary because her opponent never ran a race in his life. Was never elected to office, was ripping off his constituents. I can't fault the voters for the change.

"Immigrants, young people, and everyone else should be allowed to run."

It's the " I thought this so that makes it right" mentality of our youth. She is expressing her" truth" right? And because she thinks something we take a look at her social qualifications on the grievance scale to assess the quality of her thoughts...not the actual logic and facts behind it.

"is having a nickname a sign that you would exercise good judgment in the Oval Office? Absolutely not. But its proof positive that shes an honest-to-goodness political superstar"

Because they are calling her AOC she is a superstar.

Also. Vox is so scared that people will call them on their bullshit they don't allow a comment section.

Crowley was well liked by his constituents and ran unopposed 8 or 9 times. She snuck in.

He was also considered next in line for Speaker. NY democrats screwed up on that one, and they know it. Should have had her run in Brooklyn

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announces 'self-care' break before congressional session even starts

https://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/ny-pol-alexandria-cortez-self-care-break-20181217-story.html

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez needs a break.

The Bronx-bred democratic socialist heading into her freshman term in the House of Representatives announced Monday she’s taking some time off to take care of herself before she officially starts her new job — and she’s taking her supporters along for the ride.

“I’m taking a few days to take care of myself before what is sure to be an eventful term,” the incoming New York congresswoman tweeted.

“For working people, immigrants, & the poor, self-care is political — not because we want it to be, but bc of the inevitable shaming of someone doing a face mask while financially stressed. So I’ve decided to take others along with me on IG as I learn what self-care even means and why it’s important.”

The 29-year-old progressive champion encouraged her followers to share their self-care regimens and followed up the post with a string of Instagram messages about how she had to give up her Zen lifestyle when she launched her congressional bid.

“Before the campaign, I used to practice yoga 3-4x/week, eat nutritiously, read and write for leisure,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “As soon as everything kicked up, that all went out the window. I went from doing yoga and making wild rice and salmon dinners to eating fast food for dinner and falling asleep in my jeans and makeup.”

Ocasio-Cortez — who unseated longtime Queens Rep. Joe Crowley in a stunning primary upset that made national headlines — vowed to not pretend to be something she’s not as she officially starts representing New York’s 14th congressional district on Jan. 3.

“I believe public servants do a disservice to our communities by pretending to be perfect,” she wrote. “A lot of campaigns are based on telling a ‘superhuman’ story and I respectfully disagree with that tactic...You don’t have to be perfect, but you do have to be 100% committed.”

She hasn't even been sworn in yet and she is already taking a break...

Crowley was a schmuck who got complacent. Old school city, pro union, politician that was 2 notches shy of being a mobster. No one thought she had a chance. His constituents never showed.
