I've read this is an excellent place for scuba. I'm personally not interested but I'll get the skinny for you.

I' figure I should buy an adult pair of arm floaties so when I tip over in the pool bar, I won't drown. :D

What a steal. Can very easily spend that in food and drink alone anywhere else.

It's mexico. He'll be in the bathroom most of the day...and night.

It's hot. Stay hydrated. Drink lots of water. Out of the tap is fine.

I went a couple of years ago. I do recommend going to see the Mayan pyramids (there is another place besides chichen itza that they say is better. We went, it was cool) and also go swim in a cenote. Basically a big ass underground lake.

Both of these things can be done in half a day together. Hire a guide from your resort.

Other than that, there is no reason to leave the bar.

We have been to Cancun and Cozumel. Great diving.

Some resorts include scuba, some do not. Your resort looks very nice.

In addition to chichen Itza, Tulum, and coba, check out xel- ha and xcaret.

I went to Playa Del Carmen once. We were on a tour in a Cenote, and we could see the slick of the bat shlt on the surface of the water. Kind of gross. Well this young married couple who didn't even look 21 was in the group. The guy, out of nowhere, takes a drink of the water. The guide and I both looked at him in horror and told him not to do that again. I bet he had a pretty horrid rest of his honeymoon.

You need to visit Xel Ha (pronounced Shell Ha). Anyone who is within reasonable distance from Xel Ha needs to experience it. The all you can eat and drink are cherries on top of the coolest park I have been to

Yep. Mexico is a shithole. Never wasting my money by going there.

The sites to see are interesting and fun. The price is pretty reasonable. It's nice to just chill at the resort. Though I did end up with some diarrhea...

Stay safe, my friend. Looks like press is making out to be at the resort, but it was really in a bar in a low income section far away from a resort in Playa del Carmen. I don't know if it is even near where you are going.

A lot of people don't realize that "scuba" is an acronym. Like "SWAT" or NAMBLA.

In this case, scuba stands for

light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation.

If this was from wiff, I might be suspicious.

Coming from you, I am thinking you might be a little bit tipsy and forgot a word or two.

I love scuba diving if that answers your question.  Been certified for nearly 30 years.
