Just like that, she was gone. Warren....first in; first out.

What is odd about this, to me, is that when she did this the entire SJW/Grievance movement was not a thing.   Why lie like this when it did not get you political points within the ideology?

How did this lie benefit her?

Years prior to the #metoo movement, Native American was another block to check for preferred status.

to be able to get into school with lower grades and tests, and to be hired as a minority

those were still things in the 80's and 90's

Yep, got her off the white train and on to the disaffected train.  In liberal circles this has been a real way to move up the ladder for decades.

Yes, that would be the automatic response. In the absence of any actual argument or provable position, throw a label to silence....

Warren could have put this issue to bed years ago by saying her family overstated her NA heritage, she was proud of it and didn’t know better, she apologizes for it the end. Instead she gave this so much oxygen that it’s never going away now. I think Warren was mostly running to be VO anyway but talk about your unforced errors.

Maybe.  But if she can get away with this kind of thing, I think the Va governor can as well , right? I mean....if we are to hold him accountable for something done years ago in his youth, and disregard anything and everything positive he has done since then.....well, then we do the same for her as well, right?

I kind of love that every single Democrat that has declared for the presidency has had to begin their run with a nationwide apology tour 😂

Reap ......sew...

sounds like klobuchar's not even going to get to make the announcement before she withdraws. 😄

Kamala hasn't. Nor Booker. Gives you an idea who the MSM view as their best chance.

I think you’re making a bit of an apples to oranges comparison here but the VA Governor seems to have made the same mistake as Warren by initially lying and backtracking instead of just coming out with it.

I think any chance he had of weathering the storm was erased when he said it wasn’t him in the pic, then changed his mind and said it was him but he was sorry. He should have had out with it prior to the election, said it wasn’t something he was proud of but it’s not who he is now, and pointed to his record on the issues. Maybe he loses the election over it but he maintains his integrity.

Yeah, I went back and looked at it and I agree, its a poor comparison really.....

What about Liam Neeson then?  He admits to it, comes out with it and apologizes, shows how he has grown past that single event in time....yet he is castigated.  If that is how we treat people how can we expect them to "come out"?

It's one thing to wear a stupid inappropriate costume.  It's another thing to walk the streets with a weapon hoping a black person starts trouble so that you can kill him.

Some people have gone to bat for Neeson, for example Oprah and Terry Crews, a guy I respect a lot. Not sure what the fallout has been other than Neeson getting criticized.

At least he was going to let them start it before killing them.  Can we rename him george Zimmerman sr?

:D

Difference IMO is that Zimmerman was a wuss who wasn't looking for trouble, but made bad decisions and found himself in deeper than he could handle.

Dude was carrying a gun, following around a supposedly suspicious person in his van and then pursuing him on foot even when the police told him to sit tight. I’d say he was looking for trouble. Seems like he can’t stay out of it after the shooting either.

Howie Carr is.  The Herald can be dooshy in a NY Post kind of way.  The Herald caters to the knuckle-draggers and the Globe caters to the liberal moon bats.
