Bernie Sanders is running for President 2020

Wow, I figured it was Breitbart or some other wingnut site. That’s a pretty dumb argument. Obviously Bernie thinks he could do more good on climate change by being president than he can by not traveling. What’s he supposed to do, bike across the US spreading the gospel?

Again, he's five years older than the current president.

So?

People were saying that McCain was too old to be running for President and this goober is even older...

For someone to be so concerned about man's affect on global warming, he should fly coach like you know, the common folk a.k.a. 'carpool' (planepool?)  Surely someone that supports open borders isn't concerned about security is he?

One of the key traits US voters tend to look for in a candidate is authenticity.  A great way to build authenticity is to basically set out a personal platform at a young age and then stick to it for decades.   Just repeat the same things over and over.  You can play a video of a Bernie Sanders speech from 30 years ago and he says a lot of same things he says today.  US voters will overlook a LOT if they think they have found authenticity.

By the way, Donald Trump also enjoys his same advantage, as a lot of the things Trump was saying in the 1980s he stuck with even as president.

This would make Bernie Sanders a strong opponent to Trump.  He's actually the ONLY democrat that could have beaten Trump in 2016.  The problem is that he would be 79 when he takes the oath.  I just can't see voters picking someone that old.

I have always said that the most important thing to me in a candidate is knowing what they believe in, even if it isn't the same as me (like RLLD said).  Candidates have to say all kinds of crazy shiot to get thru primaries (reference Romney, Mitt).  I like the word "authenticity," I think that captures it well.

Sanders is about as authentic as it gets.  But he is 180 degrees from me in beliefs.  That would be a test for me; could I vote for him?  Hmm...

Who would win in a 10 yard race out of, Drumpf, HIllary and Bernie?

Can’t tell from the article what he was flying or why. There are probably security reasons for it. Odd to see you blasting Bernie for hypocrisy though. Trump hires illegals and visa workers and you’re all over his nuts every day.

It says private air travel. And the left cannot argue 'I need the security of private air travel' since we live in a Eutopian society where borders/security are just hooey.

Trump hires illegals? Link?

Yes we have 30 years of Bernie praising failed socialist state after failed socialist state. The only people who fall for this sh1t are idiot college kids and loony liberal men. The loony liberal women will only vote for women and the loony liberal blacks will only vote for blacks.

I have never heard Bernie say there shouldn’t be borders.

You can look up Trump’s hiring practices yourself.

If you can't provide a link then don't make the assertion.

You are not aware that his golf courses in NJ employed illegals, or that he brings in visa workers for Maralago, or that his in laws became US citizens using the chain migration Trump complains about?

Weird that a guy who seems to have nothing at all going on except Trump missed those stories.

Barry White and David Power should run on the same ticket.

Bernie is already underfire, for making the only statement that I wholeheartedly agree with

BERNIE SANDERS: We have got to look at candidates, you know, not by the color of their skin, not by - not by their sexual orientation or their gender and not by their age. I mean, I think we have got to try to move us toward a non-discriminatory society which looks at people based on their abilities.

isn't fascinating how this Cortez cvvnt cries about have nots, cried about the cost of an apartment etc, wants to take from others and thinks everyone who has earned stuff should shar eit with others....and yet has an apartment down in the Navy Yard area at like $2k per month, while others in congress live in modest townhomes....some sharing those town homes?

She is the mirror of Ayn Rand at this stage....

There are Congressmen who share modest townhomes? They should make a Congressional version of The Real World.

Indeed, they are paid pretty poorly as new/incoming, and DC does not have that nice a spread of housing.  If you don't want to be shot at, or have your stuff stolen, you have to pay handsomely to get away from all that...
