Recommended Posts

It is sad that some Americans whan our President to be corrupt more than anything else while continuing to back the most corrupt party in the history of our country.

Well, this cutting-edge topic certainly couldn't have been covered in the hundred and seven page thread.

Trump is president. Libs mad.  Really focking mad.  Causing all kinds of problems because they are mad. Riots, murders, vandalism.  Way to go libs!  Sit on your lazy asses all day dreaming up ways to destroy things because you didn't get your way.  All Class.

Try gritting your teef and jumping up and down to see that makes Trump go away. Or throw your cereal on the floor.

Entertaining to think back to when they (Dems/Libs/CNN/MSNBC) were all horrified that Donald Trump suggested he might not accept the outcome of the election........and then the last two years......Democrats are all about projection.....

Don't give up hope on impeachment just because Mueller says there's no Russia collusion. Rashida Tlaib is pushing on anyway.

For 50 years, inner city Detroit was represented my John Conyers in Congress. I'm sure that when he finally resigned, a lot of you thought like I did that "they'll never find anybody that stupid" to replace him. She may not be around for long,  I have to think the blacks can re-win that seat if they don't split their vote in a primary again but we'll see what incumbency does for her.

I think the Dem's are fracturing a bit.   You have some defections, with reasonable people not wanting to look like complete idiots.  Then you have some people who will not give up, are holding on to this thing white-knuckled and desperate to get rid of Trump.  It is clear to me that they already know they cannot defeat him in an election, and so are clinging to anything possible to hope for some other way.

It is perverse.

I agree with you except for the election part. I have met numerous people that are absolutely convinced that they will beat trump in 2020.

I even met one delusional idiot who was railing about Biden being the front runner. He said, and I quote, "if you want progressive support, you had better get behind Warren or Sanders."

I informed him that progressive support was the exact opposite of the partys problem. They need moderate support, and most of us would rather keep trump than most of the rejects they have running.

He actually laughed at me and called me a right wing republican.

They truly do not realize how far out in the weeds they are.

You think the 2016 tears were good, wait for the 2020 ones.

It's quite simple really. All the left head to do when Trump became the front runner was to reach towards the middle. To sniff, to wave to, at least acknowledge the middle and they would own the electorate. Instead, they went screaming for the radical far left. To their own detriment. And this continues today. Even now, when the polls are saying Biden and even Buddigieg are the best hope of beating Trump, a huge percentage of these freaks are rejecting that in favor of their own individual left-wing nut case. Thus, ensuring failure.

When the real people of the Midwest overwhelmingly lean towards a man like Joe Biden, they're saying they want to return to normalcy, civility and most of all maturity. In short, they don't want shrieking pink hats screaming I'm a nasty woman! Or black lives matter! Or Gay transexual vampires being able to pee on trees or whatever the latest radical left-wing cause celeb happens to be.

If the complaint about the right is that they are the party of the 1%. Then surely the complaint about the left must be that they are the party of the point 1%. And meanwhile 98.9% of the country goes lacking.

Ask middle class tax payers. The group that suspiciously gets left out when the left talks about all those that hate Trump.

I think words like “fracturing” are silly and designed to create an image of panic. People could say “disagreeing” and it would be more accurate. But I suppose raising alarms every chance we get is the way of the time. Anyway...

As someone that can’t yet foresee a scenario in which I don’t vote for the Democratic candidate in 2020....I think the Democrats fully believe that whoever they put forth will defeat Trump easily. The fracturing you see is because of this overconfidence. If they felt 2020 was actually at risk, they’d all unite instantly. But with so many of the Dems feeling 2020 is in the bag, we get fracturing into roughly 3 groups....There is the conservative “lets not impeach, as that rocks the boat” group..... the seemingly principled “he should be impeached because we should do what’s right and not worry about the consequences” group (although it’s easy to have principles when you believe there will be no consequences).....and the emotional group that is thinking “why wait til next year to remove the SOB, plus this will be more humiliating”.

So I think confidence is the reason for the disagreeing or “fracturing”. For the record, while I think the Dems are favored to win, I’m not nearly as confident as I think they are. And I haven’t really decided how I feel about impeachment.

Then either you or me is 100% wrong.  I think the number of candidates is based on a power play within the party.

And also for the record, a party with power doesn't need to pull stunts like the Mueller debacle. They win on their platform.  Then, their stunt fails.  Trump has lost some battles, but won some huge ones. The Dems are underdogs until we see a nominee, then we reevaluate.

Let’s face it, the Trump haters are never going to change the way they think or admit they were wrong. That actually requires integrity and any left leaning person with integrity has already left that joke of a party.

How so?  What part is delusional? Or just all of it, including my saying I’m not as confident in Dem victory as they are?

Or is this the thing where those of you that have no content just call anyone that thinks differently than you “delusional” irregardless of what they write?

All of it, your response is so absurd that it's not worth anybody's time hammering out some long dissertation to debate you.

It's almost as if you live under a rock.

Calling the Dems favorites is delusional. History shows incumbents almost always win. outside of rare aberrations like 3rd party influence or charismatic opponent. Neither is in play here.

Second delusional thought is that the democrats are united in confidence. The unofficial leader is Bernie and his platform is nothing like any of the others. He really is a 3rd party candidate masquerading as a Democrat.

Also CBF, I'll save ya the time, we already know that anybody who disagrees with you is a bigot and secret member of the KKK.

No need to remind us of that one. We're good, we got it.

Dems should win. Trump won four states by something like 80,000 total votes and his approval rating is down in all of them. But they will have a long ugly primary and probably elect some stooge. So they will most likely lose.

Probably since guys like you who defend the Democratic platform and every crazy and far left idea they come up with will suddenly end up voting 3rd party when it's time to vote, amiright?

Why do you and 90s even take part in the discourse if you have no actual thoughts to contribute?

That said, I will give the two of you this: You do a great job of making me want to ignore any thread you may be a part of, which means all political threads I suppose. Not because I have anything personal against either of you at all. Both great guys probably..... But for me to actually read RLLD’s post and think on it and offer up an opinion, well that was dumb of me to waste that time.

So enjoy your echo chamber. I’m sure you and yours are right about everything and will be better off for it.

Stupid post bordering on an implied lie.

There are lots of racists and bigots here, but I’ve never implied as such because someone disagreed with me on a topic. To act as though I have is clearly you just knowing I lean left, and therefore projecting something imagined on me. I get why that happens at times, but it’s not accurate where I am concerned.

Socialized Health Care.

Sticking with a system that costs more than any other nation on earth and leaves millions uninsured is crazy. Especially when almost nobody can afford health insurance on the free market and costs are going up 10% every year.

You constantly bring it up, so it's implied.

The fact that you don't see it or realize you do it, that's a you problem.

The Midwest isn't leaning towards Biden.............dafuq you get that from? Return to normalcy, civility, and maturity? From creepy Joe? Normal to you might be making children/women uncomfortable (which I'm sure is true) but 'Real' America sees the Dems for what they are; a group of socialists that are no longer bothering to hide their desire to destroy America as we know it.
