Gronk.....peace out!

Recommended Posts

Sucks. One of the most fun players to watch ever. Thanks for the memories Gronk.  Especially of the one where you came up short on that Hail Mary in the SB against the Giants. Good times.

Excellent career. One of the best at his position.

All timer, hats of to him for walking out on his terms. Smart with his money. What's not to like and admire about this guy?

I feel he's the best ever. In an age when TE's are glorified receivers, Gronk blocked like he was an extra tackle. Belicheck demands it after watching Bavaro in his prime with the Giants. Guys like Ertz and Witten aren't known for their blocking skills.

Gonzo, gates, gronk, sharpe.

some who likely would not make my top 10 but had blocking skills overlooked was Vernon Davis.  Because the 9ers were so porous, his first couple of years were used to block.

Like VD a lot. True TE. Didn't think Gonzo was as good as Gates, especially the second half of his career. He became very un athletic. Sharpe is exhibit A of the glorified WR playing TE

I thought Gonzo looked much better later in his career than gates.... definitely more athletic throughout this career.

Sharpe was a fantastic receiving te, with passable blocking ability. Still hof and top tier at position.

going to be hard to judge this era with the rule changes and gaudy receiving stats.

Hope he stays retired. He has a ton of money from not spending a dime of his salary and he can just party til he drops now.

Apparently they've already broken ground on a bar he's going to open up. Word is, called The Glory Hole.

One of the all time greats on the field - and overall personalities.

1st ballot HOF - or should be.

He should take Witten's place in the booth...

I thought Dan Dierdorf sucked...........till I heard Witten.

Good for him.  Goes out on top with another SB win, making the catch that gave the Pats the win.

Let's see... Gronk makes announcement on Sunday after a lot of delay.  Monday Night Raw is being held at TD Bank Garden in Boston on Monday two weeks before WrestleMania.

Anyone want to make a guess on what he is doing next (at least part time)?

This has potential.

Will they have to dumb him down for the in ring interview?

Are we 100% sure that when he says he's going to "Retire", he doesn't mean get new wheels for his Hummer?

How triggered will people be when the Patriots win another super bowl, sans Gronk and tuggate

They'd only have it easier if they were in the NFC east

Sure.  Pay no attention to those three super bowl losses.

When did the Patriots play the Jets, Dolphins or Bills in the Super Bowl?

They lost to the NFC east 3x. Stands to reason the NFC east wouldn't have been an easier road for them, as you claimed.
