			Glad to have you with us this year! Interesting you use Fleaflicker. I don't play there but it looks like a good site, and I know it's been around for a long time. I don't hear from many people who use it though. Let me get to your questions here as best I can...
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			1. Sounds like your league uses "keepers cost a draft pick" - meaning you give up a draft pick to keep a player. Some leagues just have 1, 2, 3 keepers with no draft pick cost. So let me be honest with you about this. I used to tell people in keeper leagues like yours to get their draft report tab set up and input the players directly on the draft report tab beside the pick given up by each team. This works and is pretty straight forward. On the rules tab set teams, roster spots and draft rounds (along with other settings and scoring) and on the action tab click Compile Cheatsheets. Now your draft report tab should have the proper number of teams, rounds, etc. Input a player next to the pick by selecting the position, and then the player.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			However, people always wondered why they don't use the keepers tab in this case. I just thought it was easier. If you set keepers on the rules tab and change "keepers cost a draft pick" to yes, input other settings and hit Compile, then a keepers tab will appear. On that you can input the keepers for each team, and there should be a third yellow highlighted column for each team where you can select the draft pick given up (9th for Nix, for you). This will copy the player to that pick on the draft report tab... so you end up same as the first method above.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			Note, after your keepers and draft report tab are set properly, go to the action tab and there are two reset options above the Compile Cheatsheets button. Turn those to off so you don't lose your keepers if you Compile again.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			2. This does not seem to apply to you. Some leagues don't have a separate TE position.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			3. Sorry, no. Do you do your live draft on Fleaflicker? And by Sportsline you mean CBS, correct?
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			4. Draft Buddy is simply a draft tool, so we don't update it after the season starts. There really is nothing in it that would be very useful to you at that point. However, FF Today has weekly rankings, articles, etc., all free, to help you manage your team in-season. So we've got you covered at no extra cost.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			5. Same as 4, to a degree, using weekly rankings and I think FF Today has rest-of-season rankings. Possibly articles with trade advice. Or, feel free to ask me or any other other content guys you follow. Most are usually pretty good about giving advice and answering questions.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			6. Sorry, that isn't a feature in Draft Buddy, so you could input picks manually. Couple ways to reset. Well first, what I would suggest is after you get your keepers input, save it and make a second copy of the file for mock/testing. To do that, use File &gt; Save As.. &gt; Macro-Enabled Workbook and change the filename. Now you have two. This is how you would create another copy for a second league, too.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			To "simply" remove players off the draft report tab (and then update other tabs), highlight just the yellow highlighted cells on the draft report tab - position, player - for the picks you want to remove and click the Delete button on your computer. It clears them, and rolls back the draft.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			To reset Draft Buddy completely, change those reset options I mentioned earlier to yes, and Compile Cheatsheets. This will wipe out your keepers though, which is why a second copy of the file is a good idea.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			7. Don't have to reset the keepers. I think we've covered this with the reset options. Generally when you change rules/scoring/options/projections, then you do want to hit Compile Cheatsheets to update the rankings.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			Okay, realized half way through didn't do the main question about positions. Here is what I suggest:
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			- since it is a superflex league, set QB starters to 2 ... everyone is going to want to use a QB for that QB/RB/WR/TE position anyway
		</div>

		<div>
			- to cover the WR/TE flex spot, lets just add one to WR ... you already have a set TE position, and by the time we are down to 12 TE (12-team league), WR will be a better option for that WR/TE spot for all teams
		</div>

		<div>
			- since that solves the SF and WR/TE flex spots, we are left with 1 O-Flex for the RB/WR/TE
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			So here is what I've got for you (recommended, but feel free to alter the backups if you like):
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			<img alt="Screenshot 2025-08-31 at 9.45.59 AM.png" height="177" src="" width="563" />
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			Last thing: If you hit Compile Cheatsheets and find the overall rankings are not pushing the QB up high enough based on your history with this league, then go to the options tab, change the Overall Ranking Method to "Median Player Drafted" (which tends to work better for 2-QB/SF leagues) and hit Compile again, see if that looks better. Will only impact the overall rankings.
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>

		<div>
			Good luck at the draft!
		</div>

		<div>

		</div>
	</div>

<p>
	Hi Mike. I've been using the Draft Buddy for 20+ years now. I love it. Thanks.
</p>

<p>
	Every year, I use the Buddy to average the projections from FFToday, Rotowire, and Fantasy Football Index. I use the VLOOKUP method to populate the projections from Rotowire and FFI. This year, I noticed the Rotowire projections were pre-populated. At first I thought maybe the FFToday projections had somehow copied over to Rotowire, but I checked and the projections are similar, but different. I also noticed a couple of players had no Rotowire projections (I just copied over the FFToday projections for these players).
</p>

<p>
	I usually get the 48 hour free trial from Rotowire to download their projections a couple of days before my draft, and then insert them into the Draft Buddy. I'm wondering if I even need to do that this year. Are the Rotowire projections showing up in my Draft Buddy legit? Do you have some partnership with Rotowire this year? Will the Rotowire projections update along with the FFToday projections?
</p>

<p>
	Does anyone use Projection Pal?  I've been using DB since 2007 and for the first time I've been trying to import other stats to see how it looks.
</p>

<p>
	Here's what I've done...<br />
	- Downloaded Projection Pal  (step 1 <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@14.0.2/assets/72x72/1f604.png" class="ipsEmoji" alt="😄">)
</p>

<p>
	- Launched it and allowed all the things like enabling macros, etc
</p>

<p>
	- Entered the Draft Buddy file name that I want it to reference (Step 2)
</p>

<p>
	- Left Draft Buddy section as Site B (Step 3)
</p>

<p>
	- Went to "QB Raw" tab.  (Step 4)  This comes prepopulated with an example of <a href="https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/projections/qb.php?week=draft" rel="external nofollow">https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/projections/qb.php?week=draft</a> which checks out as a valid page
</p>

<p>
	- When I click on "New Query" or "Refresh Data" tabs, all seems good.  Projections update nicely here.  I've tested by deleting a bunch of data and it repopulates when I refresh.
</p>

<p>
	- Confirmed that the column titles match the data in each column (Step 5)
</p>

<p>
	- Confirmed the rows are correct (eg rows 3 - 75 for QB) and only have Projections selected (Step 6)
</p>

<p>
	Everything according to the instructions and the queries from the site are obviously working.  BUT .. when I when I click on "Copy to Draft Buddy" it doesn't populate the data.  It chugs away for a bit, launches the specified Draft Buddy file, goes to the position tab, highlights the Site B section, then ... nothing.  It gets like 90% of the way there, but it doesn't populate any data.  I've tried for QB, RB and WR.  All do the same thing.
</p>

<p>
	Am I missing something?
</p>

<p>

<p>Had our draft last nite. Everyone was envious of my draft buddy. While everyone had thick stacks of paper spread out, I was doing nothing but point click point click!!!</p>
<p>Totally loved it!! I made total use of the draft by team tab, cheatsheat tab, sortable name inputs, past statistics grid. Thanks for the great product!!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The only problem Ive had is that my draft by round tab only populated up until halfway thru the 15th round. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>One other thing, I couldn't find Dorsey Levens in my drop down. Am I blind, or is he not in there?</p>

<p>Hello Mike,</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I have been using this program for a few years now. I would like to know what you think would be the best way to input the draft results during the draft. Basically who won the player, and how much was paid for that player... it seems like i start to fall behind, and then i get frustrated and quit using the program. Usually the draft is slow enough for me to keep up, but every once in a while it speeds up.. then I'm in trouble</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Thanks,</p>

<p>
	Guys,
</p>

<p>
	We've heard from some of you about a "Run-time Error 1004" message when trying to update your projections/data on the action tab. This is a result of Excel not liking to pull data from secure web pages (https) like we have now at FFToday.  We've dug around on this (thanks Mike Mac!) and seem to have found a solution that works for most of you in a Windows environment.
</p>

<p>
	Try this...
</p>

<p>
	1. Open up Internet Explorer<br />
	2. Go to: Tools &gt; Internet Options &gt; Advanced<br />
	3. Scroll down to the "Security" heading<br />
	4. Uncheck the box next to: "Do not save encrypted pages to disk"<br />
	5. Hit "OK"
</p>

<p>
	Open up the DB and try the update projections button again.
</p>

<p>
	If that solution doesn't work for you on you experience the same problem in a Mac environment, try downloading the Alternate DB file from the Draft Buddy download page.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Issue:</strong> You have Macros enabled in Excel, but when you try and open Draft Buddy you get an alert: "SECURITY RISK Microsoft has blocked macros from running because the source of this file is untrusted." This is typically affecting folks with newer Windows machines and Office 365 users.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Fix:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	1.<strong> </strong>Close Excel and navigate to the folder where your Draft Buddy file is stored.<br />
	2. Right-click on your DB file and select "Properties"<br />
	3. At the bottom, check the box that says "Unblock" and then click "OK".
</p>

<p>
	Mike Mac has done a nice video on this in more detail...

	Hi,

	I have a problem with positional rankings for specific players where I have applied custom scoring.<span>  </span>They all zoom to the top of their position ranking even though they don’t have the points to merit being ranked that high.
</p>

<p>
	For example, I gave Tony Pollard some custom scoring for return yards (600 yards add 1fp per 12 yards).<span>  </span>His new total is 179 projected points, which would rank him RB27 according to our scoring system.<span>  </span>But after compiling, DB is placing him at RB1 position (row 5) with 179 points.<span>  </span>Meanwhile, the RB2 (C. McCaffrey) has 354 projected points.<span>  </span>It’s purely a sorting issue.
</p>

<p>
	The problem only occurs on the position-specific worksheets.<span>  </span>The overall ranking WS has everyone sorted correctly.
</p>

<p>
	I’m visualizing the projected FP in column U ‘2021 Projected’ but maybe a different column is used for sorting players?
</p>

<p>
	Any ideas?<span>  </span>
</p>

<p>
	BTW – I feel like we have discussed this in prior years but I couldn’t find an exchange and I still have the issue…
</p>

<p>
	Thanks for your attention.

	Is it possible to remove the custom 1, 2, and 3 columns from off-notes and overall-notes tabs? I am not using these fields. I tried blanking out the "Custom 1" and other entries to no avail. They just extend the length unnecessarily.  Thanks.

<p>
	Wondering what you all think about this trade? This is for a 3 keeper salary cap, PPR league.  My current keepers would be:
</p>

<p>
	Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill,  &amp; (Justin Jefferson, or Josh Jacobs)... each year you keep a player his salary cap number increases by $500 bucks and Kelce or Hill both have $1500 in premium this coming year. Another owner is offering
</p>

<p>
	Saquan Barkely and pick 1.1
</p>

<p>
	for Travis Kelce and pick 1.6
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	So if I did the trade I would end up keeping
</p>

<p>
	Hill, Jefferson, &amp; Barkely and have the first overall pick.... thoughts?

	Help! Salary Cap league. 12 teams, 12 players per team (8 starters and 4 backups). <strong>$19M cap per team</strong>. <strong>Values based on prior year performance</strong>. Where do I find the current player values to ensure they line up w/ my league? Draft setup is serpentine and I'm 12th of 12. So I believe Auction draft? is "NO" and set "Salary cap per team" to $19 but I'm not sure where the actual player values are. THANKS!

<p>
	For my draft, I usually print out the "offense" tab as a one-pager and physically cross off players as they are drafted. Right now there are 100 WRs and RBs listed on the single sheet, along with the other positions, which makes the text tough to read since it is so small. Is there a way to specify how many players in each category you want listed on this sheet, so the text will be bigger?

<p>
	Hi,
</p>

<p>
	Been in a keeper league for close to 30 years. Always did fairly well but the past few years my life has gotten busier and last year I fell out of the playoffs for the first time in 10+ years (that sucked). I've never felt as unprepared as I do right now. It's non-ppr, roster of 20, cut down to 9 keepers before the draft. 12 teams. Our first rounds are almost exclusively drafting rookies. I have the 5th pick in a snake draft. After trading Brees last year for this year's 2nd rounder I also have the overall 17th and 20th picks. My keeper RBs are L Bell, A. Kamara &amp; C. Edmonds. My WRs are M. Thomas, D. Slayton, &amp; AJ Green (Should have dropped him 2 years ago!).
</p>

<p>
	I predict by the 5th pick I should have a shot at Cam Akers, D. Swift, Dobbins, or Moss. Most likely Dobbins or Moss. Who do you rank higher? What about Dillon?
</p>

<p>
	Or...if Jeudy or Lamb are available do I jump on them instead?
</p>

<p>
	I'm also holding out hope that Burrow will be available at 17 but not likely. My QBs now are D. Jones &amp; S. Darnold.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks for the input!
</p>
