R.Brown/T.Glenn for C.Johnson/Gonzo

I was offered Chad Johnson/Tony Gonzalez for Ronnie Brown/Terry Glenn. Does this leave me to weak at #2 RB (only start 2)? Below is my WR & RB roster.

 

(Start 3) WR---Reggie Wayne, Donald Driver, Terry Glenn, Drew Bennett

(Start 2) RB---Tiki Barber, Ronnie Brown, Julius Jones, Chester Taylor, Chris Brown

 

Oh yeah, my current TE is LJ Smith.

I wouldnt do it. Ronnie Brown should be a stud this year without Ricky Williams getting in his way. Tiki and Ronnie are a good 1-2 punch. I think your receivers are decent. You start two WR and a TE? I expect Driver and Glenn to have big years this year. TO will get a lot of extra coverage which will leave Glenn one on one. Did you see some of the catches he made so far in the pre-season without TO?! If you could just swing a trade for Chad Johnson you would be set. Gonzales' numbers arent as good as they were in past years now that LJ is such a stud in KC. There are other options out there.

I agree, definitely turn this trade down. LJ Smith is going to be in the same ballpark this year as Gonzo, so counter with an offer of Chester Taylor and a WR for Chad Johnson. Your Tiki/Ronnie combo must stay intact with the injury concerns in the rest of your RBs, but your RB depth gives you plenty of options.

No frickin way.....I like Chad Johnson but you have really good wr already. Glenn has been a monster in preseason (I know it only preseason but still he has looked GOOD)....and as a #3 wr I would love that. T Gonz is good but not like a couple yrs ago....plus TE are deep this year. I think LJ is a decent TE...he's not gonna be a top 5 but he'll be alright. And I would not give up Brown who could easily have an awesome year for have J Jones yuck....thats a rbbc with M Barber or Jone will get hurt. He's a great #3rb but Brown is sooooo much better.
