Help with second round pick

Recommended Posts

I have my 12-Team redraft league tomorrow. Standard scoring non-PPR.

So my plan is to take Barber at 1.08 if available, if not Portis assuming the draft goes as usual.

So my question is what to do in the second round. There is alot of talk getting a stud WR but if there is a run on WR in the begining of the 2nd round and Moss, TO, Wayne & Fitz are gone would you take LJ? Im not sold on A Johnson cause he cant finish a year and has a tough schedule. I dont see how FFtoday has him ranked as 3rd.

What would you do?

Leave yours and will answer

TO should fall to you at that pick, maybe Brees. Randy Moss will most likely go right before that. Take the best player. If Moss. TO or Edwards are available then I go that route (assuming you start 3 WRs). If not then I go for Brees.

If TO falls, I'd take him. I'm staying away from Wayne, with all the questions surrounding Manning at this point. If TO is gone, I don't really see a WR I like better than any of the RB's that should be available. You would be better served taking the best RB available and grabbing a guy like Colston or TJ in the 3rd.

LJ/Colston > Edwards/Jacobs

Thanks for mine.

I would also go the best WR available approach(as i did in my draft with CJ/Holt, and yes Colston and Romo were both gone there as well).. Id go with TO/Wayne/Andre Johnson/Fitz in that order

Your second pick is at 17 and I think Moss will go in the first round and TO and Edwards in the early second so all three will probably be gone thus leaving you with a viable consistent number 2 RB which could be Maroney, Johnson, or Grant. Either of those three will be a better pick than a WR that you did not mention.
