doriantodd 0 Posted September 1, 2008 Do I need to upgrade my receivers? Thinking of offering Ricky Williams or Turner for Anquan Boldin to a guy that has Reggie Bush, Thomas Jones, Selvin Young, and Matt Forte. I'd rather make the move before any of his running backs have a chance to prove themselves. I think it may take a receiver too since the trade would leave him without a reserve WR. Maybe Jackson or White, since Morgan doesn't have any name value now. My Team Derek Anderson Kurt Warner Steve Smith Santonio Holmes Roddy White Desean Jackson Josh Morgan (have a hunch in Martz offense) Joseph Addai Michael Turner Ricky Williams Deangelo Williams Greg Olsen Titans DST Rob Bironas
despleyj 0 Posted September 1, 2008 assuming that he would make the trade, i think it would be in your best interest to do it. you do not loose much and have a nice gain. here is mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=321139
PanicAttack 13 Posted September 1, 2008 I think you are fine. Sure you take the hit with SS on the bench but no way would I let Turner go for Boldin IMHO. If you HAD to make a move and you really think it would take a RB and WR from you I would offer D Will and D. Jackson. Boldin is a late 3rd early 4th rounder. Turner is a fourth rounder but is projected to score way more than Bold. Ricky Williams was just named the starter and thats all they are going to be able to do down there is run. D Will has J Stew breathing down his back and really has the same value of some of the other RBs he already has so I dont know why he would want to make that trade anyway. good luck mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=321150
BIGPLAYER06 0 Posted September 1, 2008 I really dont think that trade makes your team that much better, but i like anquan boldin this year better than steve smith. He is pissed off about his contract and i think he will have a huge year. Ive never been too high on steve smith..... i think because i like big recievers. I would make that trade, but thats just me. Thanks for answering mine.
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 1, 2008 I don't think he 'll give up Anquan for any of the RBs you listed. I wouldn't do it. They are all avg #2/3 RBs at best. I would however keep DeSean as he could surprise. Does your league count Indiv. kick returns for scores? That would be handy. Maybe look for Hardy or Meachem as a sleeper or see if you can trade for Coles or Cotchery who should both be improved with a QB who actually has an arm. Coles you can get cheap, I think. He is on most people's benches due to his current injury but should be ready to go when the season starts.
Kelvarr 13 Posted September 1, 2008 You definitely need to upgrade at WR. Really, flip a coin between Turner and Williams. Turner worries me a little, but I can't put a finger on why. For the same reason, I think Ricky will have a good year. One thing I wouldn't do is keep both Turner and White both. I don't think the Falcons Offense is going to be prolific enough to justify having both on the same team. See Mine
Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted September 1, 2008 A couple of thoughts: 1) What you're offering him won't do anything to improve his RB situation - it will just make a bigger logjam, so my guess is he'd decline 2) I actually think that Smith, Holmes, and White are a serviceable trio for you 3) I'm worried about your RB depth as it is, so trading from that doesn't seem prudent
