Stupid trade to get Drew Brees

my team:

No decent QB

Fitz, A Johnson, Santana Moss, Antonio Bryant

A Peterson, Willie Parker, Ronnie Brown, DeAngelo Williams, Mewelde Moore

Jason Witten, other scrub te's

 

 

I want to try and get Brees are the following trade options crazy/stupid?

 

Trade Option 1

Andre Johnson and Ronnie Brown for Brees

 

Trade Option 2

Fitzgerald and Ronnie Brown for Brees

 

Trade Option 3

Witten and Moss for Brees

 

Garrard is his backup but he really needs a WR and a RB.

I'd try to go w/ Brown and Bryant first...then go all in w/ those other options...I think you have the depth to do it....

Ya just dont know how AJ will do without Schaub. I would try to unload Bryant first, but I would target Brees for those 2. I dont think you'll miss them that much!

If he would take Brown & Bryant, do it. Bryant still a free agent in my league because he is up and down. Then, go with Moss and Brown. Of Fitz and A.Johnson, I would keep Fitz because of the QB situation in Houston. Of course, I'm not sure how much you're helping his team ... but you want to get your team fixed first.

If this is an initial offer to try and get Brees, I think your selling to high with either Johnson or Fitz. You might try as jarad said, but you may end up with option 3.

 

Why just Brees and have you targeted (maybe you are) the owners that may have a good second QB they don't need anymore for instance owners with Warner, Cassel or Romo? You might actually be able to get a good QB and another player if needed.

I'd go option 3 for sure, I dont think losing Fitz or Andre is smart cuz your pretty much just moving points around.

id go with either 1 or 2. witten will be nice down the stretch so keep him. id also offer up FWP instead of brown due to schedule. let the owner know he can have either Fitz or AJ and either FWP or Brown. let hiim have choices. you may want to include a QB going back to him as well since you wont need one any more. i think it will be real hard for anyone to part with brees though.
