Time to Start 'em and Sit 'em for Week 11...

Recommended Posts

With the injuries to Ronnie Brown and Kyle Orton (affecting B Marshall) and Jay Cutler being Jay Cutler (affecting Hester), I have some tough choices this week.

RB (pick 1, am starting also MJD): A Bradshaw vs Falcons, J Forsett vs. Vikes, J Snelling vs Giants... Bradshaw has the best matchup with Atlanta allowing 5 rushing TDs the last 3 games along with plenty of yds, but with word that Danny Ware will see more third down action, I'm nervous he won't get his usually dozen carries. If I pass on him, then I would pick Snelling (Forsett vs Min a no-no)\

WR (pick 2): B Marshall vs. Chargers, D Hester vs. Eagles, M Manningham vs Falcons, D Avery vs Arizona - It looks like Orton will play, so Marshall is getting my first vote... and based on matchups, Donnie Avery against Ari looks good... but betting on the Rams is never comforting.

I have the top record in our league and am playing one of the teams tied for second, so this will go a long way to securing the #1 seed for me...

What do you guys think?

I like Bradshaw only on the match ups nothing more, that bunch isnt to hot

Id take Marshall, SD pass D sucks ass as shown by the Eagles last week

Id also take Avery out of that bunch as well , should be high scoring kind of game

Sjax is on fire, should open up the pass for Avery

;) :dunno:

Bradshaw vs Atlanta is a good matchup but he does not start. Id go with Snelling because he is starting and should get most of the carries. Atlanta is set up as a run offense and Snelling looked good last week. He should be able to get you 70-90 yards and 1 TD.

If Orton starts no question go with Marshall but if Sims starts it would be a big risk. Id probably still start Marshall but the other option id go with is Hester. Cutler seems to look his way deep and has potential for big plays.

Snelling and Marshall

now answer mine please thanks

At WR I would go with Marshall and Hester. If I recall correctly last time Cutler had such an awful game, he came back with a 3td performance.

RB is a little tougher call. With Turner out, I could easily see Atlanta leaning heavier on Gonzo and Roddy. In NY, Jacobs may be the "starter", but Bradshaw seems to make better use of his carries. I gotta say I think I would go with Bradshaw.

Out of your running backs, I'd say go with Ahmad Bradshaw against the Falcons. They are giving up a healthy 4.5+ yards per carry and last week the Panthers came in and just destroyed them in the running game. Their secondary can't really stop the pass either, and I see Bradshaw going for about 75 total yards and a score in this one.

For receivers, definitely go with Marshall and Hester. Devin Hester got a TON of attention from Cutler in last weeks game, Cutler just sucked (I think something like 13 or 14 targets). With the looks going Hester's way, I say he is due to deliver big in the coming weeks.

Thanks for the great advise... So far, the polls look like this:

RB

Bradshaw - 4 votes

Snelling - 1 vote

WR

Marshall - unanimous choice (assuming Orton plays)

Avery - 1 vote

Manningham - 1 vote

Hester - 3 votes

Any other members of the FF Electoral College feel like weighing in...? Please...
