10 team PPR League

 

I'm having a tough time with this one.

 

My Team

 

QB - Romo, Newton

 

RB - Gore, DWill, Beanie, JStew, Cadillac

 

WR - Andre, Miles Austin, Santonio Holmes, Mike Thomas, Jordy Nelson

 

TE - Jimmy Graham, Aaron Hernandez

 

So, here it is. An owner offered me Vincent Jackson and Jamaal Charles for Andre Johnson and Beanie Wells. My problem is this...I have a huge man crush on Andre, and think Beanie will explode this year. I know VJax is a hell of a talent, but not sure if he is PPR material. Charles, I'm mixed about. Please help.

VJax - Johnson = roughly equal trade. AJ definitely has more value in PPR, but VJax should bounce back to put up good totals this year.

 

Charles - Wells = Charles is the better back playing on the worse team, but Wells is fragile and hasn't done anything to date. KC is a mess and Charles is all they can really count on, so he'll get plenty of touches. Wells is in the position he's in only because the rook got hurt. Chester won't eat into many of Beanie's touches, but they didn't bring Taylor in to sit the whole year.

 

This all comes down to your gut Jared. If you really think Wells is going to stay healthy and 'explode this year' then don't pull the trigger. I don't think VJax is going to outperform AJ in a PPR league, so I wouldn't make this trade.

Update...I might be able to trade Beanie and either Holmes or Aaron Hernandez for Jamaal Charles...what do you think?

Wouldn't do the original I think Beanie has the chance to be much more consistent through the season assuming he stays healthy and AJ is just plain better than VJax.

I dont know bud. You'd be giving up a lot to get Charles when you said you were high on Wells. The value is there, but I think I'd rather give up your 2nd TE than Holmes if I were making the trade. Hope that helps.

Original i definitely wouldn't do. The updated is a toss up but i think is worth it to get Charles.

I'd def do Beanie/Hernandez for Charles.

 

Beanie/Holmes is a push but it's still Charles. Wow, I cannot believe he's been this undervalued in just one week. I say go for it. Good luck!!

Scrub..? I'm hoping you are joking. Over 6 ypc last year, top 5 fantasy back, and didn't even receive the amount of touches any of the top 10 backs received. Also, I can give up serviceable starters because I have the depth.

Oh, I thought you were talking about acquiring Charles for THIS year. If you're going to retroactively apply him to all your 2010 games, then by all means, pull the trigger. In 2011, however, Charles = scrub.
