What does Thanksgiving have to do with this ? Somalians don’t celebrate this uniquely American holiday. They are as ungrateful as they come. Send them all back.1 point

The Bible has more truth in it than you are capable of understanding, and this is coming from someone who thinks there are a lot of inaccuracies in the Bible.1 point

An instructor at the University of Oklahoma has been placed on leave after a student complained that she received a failing grade on a paper that cited the Bible to assert that the “belief in multiple genders” was “demonic.” There aren’t multiple genders? Prof must have failed her cause she’s retarded.1 point

It's good that you can see both sides, I guess. I tend to think that using the Bible as a reference source in a college Psychology class is absurd, but then again I don't really care.1 point

Interesting….. The former Chief (E9) in the USAF, who had an active clearance, working on a government contract, living in Northern Virginia, allowed the suspected 'pipe bomber' to use his Metro SmarTrip Card, and his vehicle license plate was captured departing the train station in West Falls Church, Northern Virginia, because he gave the suspect a ride. Home Depot credit card transactions and CCTV video evidence also link the suspect to the purchase of many of the materials used to make the 'pipe bombs'. The Big Question Why did Steven M. D'Antuono, Assistant Director in Charge of Washington Field Office, instruct the Special Agents given a target sheet ("watch and pattern of life") on the person of interest to stand down? D'Antuono was also in charge of the Gretchen Whitmer fednapping case. D'Antuono retired when faced with having to face questioning from lawmakers.1 point

Keep up the denial over the beginning of the Blue Wave. For a deep-red district to be 22 points ahead for Trump to only 9 points for a Democratic candidate from Congress has set off all kinds of alarm in the Republican Party and indicates where things are headed in 2026, and Trump's actions and lunatic responses to this will only serve to heighten the Blue Wave. Hopefully, Democratics can take back the House and Senate and kick is sorry ass out of office. The world will be a better place. https://newrepublic.com/article/203941/transcript-angry-trump-loses-2026-plot-gop-panics-flashing-red1 point

You mean they got a whopping 32000 out of the 41000 votes in Nashville that were cast. Wow that’s amazing every other county was insanely red. Trump got 28k votes to Kamala getting 38k in 2024. but Davidson is a deep red county you say???? https://www.cnn.com/election/2025/results/special-elections1 point

What this really highlights is that affordability is a major concern of all Americans. Trump tells you it's a scam and a hoax and he doesn't want to hear about it. Tells you everything you need to know.1 point

Fraud in Medicare/Medicaid is, about a 5% problem. It is definitely an issue. But that relatively small issue is a red herring for the REAL issue. Look at the massive profits of for-profit hospitals, health care networks, drug companies, urgent care outlets, and especially the insurance companies. Every dime of profit is money not going to your actual healthcare. Capitalism is great for most things. It isn’t good for healthcare. The U.S. is the only country still clinging to this broken system, and it’s dragging the country down.1 point

I think the Republicans will (reluctantly) restore the subsidies in a week or two. They are gonna get hit by a double whammy: Angry constituents and health insurance lobbyists that will lose billions if people drop out of the marketplace.1 point

If we had govt-paid healthcare and daycare, it would cost a fraction of the cost in taxes because right now there is a LOT of profit-taking in both areas. At which point 140K would be worth a lot more. Privatizing everything has turned out to be a huge lie and ripoff of working Americans.1 point

Glad they’re redacting the names. Imagine how embarrassing it would be if people found out you had sex with Trump for free.1 point

Single payer HC. The consumer no longer needs to pay for the insurer’s marketing, profit margin, administrative costs etc. Hospitals no longer pass the costs of uninsured ER visits on to the consumer. Medical providers no longer need a fleet of billing specialists to deal with dozens of insurers and all their inconsistent requirements. The government negotiated on prices on behalf of the consumer. And people are no longer stuck in jobs for the sake of maintaining HC. I bet a lot more people would open small businesses if their HC wasn’t tied to their employer. If there’s another way to lower prices I’m all for it.1 point

I don't know about corruption, but as someone trying to hire and maintain staff at a large company, the biggest problem now is that we essentially need to overhire staff by 10%-20% to get a normal day's work done. With the personal leave act, people can not show up to work ~40% of the time and still maintain their employment. My department is getting hammered by this.1 point
