Royster over CJ2K! Am I crazy?

No not crazy. Helu OUT instead of "maybe" being out clarified WAS backfield for today. I am a Helu owner and I picked up Royster as soon as I heard that Helu was definitely out... and then I ended up starting him. No regrets w 13.8 FPs with 4 minutes to go. I am looking forward to some nice garbage yards here.

RB - WR - Flex for Championship

Re-entering my post because FFT Forums EDIT feature is kind of fudged up. The edit is that Helu is out and now Royster is an option... ROYSTER vs MIN (I've updated this post to take Helu out... he is now inactive for the game... I have just snapped up Evan ROYSTER off waivers... He has looked good spelling Helu... so now the question is, do I dare to start Royster over SJax?) SJax @ PIT (a real beast, but up against tough D, passing game in disarray, and against PIT at PIT) Dez vs PHI (lots of upside AND downside) Nicks @ NYJ (Revis risk, though Revis may spend some time on Cruz, in a "home" away game) Holmes vs NYG (Sanchez factor in a must win game for NYG?) All of these guys are key elements of their respective offenses, but I have to bench two of them. At least one of Dez, Nicks, and Holmes must sit because I will be starting Santana Moss. I am a moderate favorite in my league championship, so I am interested in eliminating the most risky plays. Thanks for your thoughts. Steve

    Helu or M. Bush?

Helu! Hot hand, run with him. I am. He was always going to be a big part of this game, but that part might be even bigger with Davis gone. My bigger problem is that I am also contemplating S Moss in Flex and I am in the beginning stages of potentially outsmarting myself with Grossman over Vick. But yegads... three Redskins in first round of fantasy playoffs feels very scary.

    Need 1 WR & 1 Flex

Short answer... Colston and Austin Long answer... I'd stay away from the RB choices here. Stew... will be involved, but ATL D is not so easy and there is always the prospect of Cam vulturing rushing TDs. And there is also DeAngelo. BJGE... I'd not expect much with Ridley in the mix lately and NE moves through the air. He could be solid, but maybe without too much upside. Among WRs, I'd like Colston the best. Solid expectation with upside in that offense, even against TEN and even with the spread it around tendency. For the remaining spot, Austin is the obvious choice in a game that might have a lot of scoring. But he also comes with some health question marks. If you need the upside that comes with Austin, you can roll with the risk. If Austin looks rocky at all, the risk is that Robinson gets plugged right back in as he's been for last month. T Smith... PRO: he's up against Indy! CON: he's Torrey Smith! (with a lackluster Flacco throwing to him and the prospect of Rice-All-Day). He's got matchup upside, but he is also a risk to get limited opportunities. So... Colston for sure. Austin for the other slot. If you are worried about Austin's health, it would be Smith or BJGE with BJGE perhaps the better prospect to produce high single digits on FPs and with Smith the more likely to have a big game (at the risk of producing a bust).

    WDIS-RB

Close call, but I lean McGahee. Forte/Cutler out may mean less offense for CHI which would mean more offense for DEN which in turn may translate to more touches and opportunities for McGahee. At least until it is Tebow-Tyme . On the other side, I don't know how far I'd project MJD onto Spiller. it's just a hunch, but I think SD may control the ball at home vs BUF. Additionally, if SD gets ahead it might serve to diminish Spiller. Take this thought with caution though as I may be projecting a bias for SD based on my own team's makeup. Thanks for answering mine. PICK TWO for WR & FLEX

I need two players for my last WR slot and for my FLEX slot: Steven Jackson @ SEA Marion Barber @ DEN Dez Bryant vs NYG Santana Moss vs NE Santonia Holmes vs KC One of the two must be a WR (i.e. I can't go with both Barber and SJax out of this bunch). What would you do?

    Pick a RB

Well, that's the thing of course. Without knowing anything else, I'd play SJax and take the chance. He is likely the more volatile choice... he may be good for 3 FPs or 25 FPs. If you think you have a comfortable edge over your opponent this week, Ingram may be safer to get you some solid points with less bust potential. However in a close matchup or one where you think you need some big numbers to roll in, I'd go with SJax. He's going to be rolling for me in both of my leagues. Thanks for your answer on mine.

Start Jahvid Best or Fred Jackson?

This is close, but I'd play Best based on 0.5 PPR and the hunch that the DAL-DET game is more likely to be a shootout. More plays and more scores. Thanks very much for your post on my question.

    WR/Flex Help (No PPR)

I plan on starting ADP/Hightower at RB and Stevie Johnson in one of my WR slots. I've narrowed the choices from my bench down to Steven Jackson, Denarius Moore, and Nate Washington for the remaining WR slot and the Flex slot. Of these three, who do I leave on the bench? Thanks for your help... Steve
