A hammy tear takes 6 weeks of rest to let the tissue scar down and become stable to allow a guy to return to activity. Add to that about 2 weeks to the muscle back into shape. I would say foster is out or limited for another 3-4 weeks

As someone who rehabs these patients I can confidently say his season is over and likely his career. They performed the surgery as a last ditch effort to regain strength in his C7 myotome. The C7 myotome controls the tricep muscle which allows him to extend the elbow. Research shows that most patients do not improve after a fusion. He will likely not regain full strength because the fusion will not take all the pressure off of his nerve. If he was a normal guy working at a desk, he would live a relatively normal life. As an elite QB he will be hard pressed to regain that elite form. The rehab will help, but the nerve signal to the muscle has to get through to allow the muscle to function fully. Strength training will only go so far.
