Fanduel & Draft Kings...should we be worried?
Bombs Away replied to Gratefulegg1973's topic in FFToday Board
DraftKings and FanDuel are making more money than they know what to do with. Add in the fact that they have no defined regulations, and you have the perfect recipe for fraud and tampering. I give it another year before something really fishy is exposed, and the Feds' hammer comes down. -
Fanduel - Straight up? Step inside......
Bombs Away replied to Filthy Fernadez's topic in FFToday Board
FanDuel & DraftKings are perfectly legitimate and upstanding companies that help fund that little operation we call the NFL, which is also perfectly legitimate and upstanding. Their moderate amount of advertising is in no way excessive or annoying, and brings joy to each and every person it reaches by showing us all the possibilities in our dreams. Also, whales are evil, and should be systematically removed from the planet because they are not playing enough DFS through FanDuel or DraftKings. -
It's kinda funny how that third-rate expansion franchise manages to sucker their fans year after year. It's all too predictable...dangle the carrot in front of them in the pre-season with the same "this will be the year" drivel, and then drop a bag of coal down their collective chimneys each Christmas. Would've been a lot less heartache along the shores of Lake Erie if they would've just let the Browns die 20 years ago.

So....now what stops the other eliminated teams from dropping their BEST players for me to "borrow" in the SuperBowl? I haven't asked anyone to do it, yadda yadda yadda... Seriously, how effing stupid would that be? Outright ridiculous, which is why I won't do it. Commish hasn't answered any texts, and now the opponent's other D/ST has already played. Kinda sucks to put so much effort into getting to the championship, and the commish lets it become a fustercluck.

Okay, how about once the playoffs start? Let's say: Team A loses in Round 1, and (as per our payouts) is officially eliminated from any money contention. Team B and Team C win through their brackets and will now meet in the SuperBowl. The teams that B & C just defeated will also play, but for 3rd place money. There is no 4th place money. Now, it's an ESPN league, so the site still seems to put teams in consolation brackets despite them being eliminated. Team A drops a player, which is picked up by Team C for use in the SuperBowl. Anyone else see a problem here? Shouldn't the commish be freezing rosters of teams that are out of money contention? (Not a keeper league)

New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears: In-Game Discussion
Bombs Away replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Ahhh, the delicious irony of having Jay Cutler on multiple (non-playoff) squads...but now playing against him in a bigger money league. Thank you, Jay, for staying so craptastic. -
Atlanta Falcons at Green Bay Packers: In-Game Discussion

Playoff game, score's tied. Rodgers takes a knee, game over. Start looking through league rules to double-check tie-breaker. Look back at the score page, and noticed the score changed...Opponent loses one point! Rodgers kneel down was for -4 yards. Opponent craps pants. Holy Baby Jeebus, it's a Christmas MIRACLE! -
Another solid FU to the sandwich-hocking phoney...RG3andOut. I hope Jared goes on another food-binge and eats you.

Being recently eliminated from a survivor pool, and having no shame, I would like to take this opportunity to express my seething hatred for the Washington Redskins Football Franchise. A hatred, that I will now ooze from every single cell of my being. They had a bye week's extra time to prepare for a football game. They played the worst team in the NFL. (as per Sagarin formulas) They removed a more competent quarterback, even after he pulled off one of the biggest wins of the year. They continue to attempt to showcase an injury-prone athlete, that does not have the mettle to play the quarterback position at the NFL level. Although I deeply regret having placed myself in a position that required me to choose Washington, I defiantly place 100% of the blame on them, and will now fully join the protests to have their name changed. Simply, out of spite. Go Fock Yourself, RG3(and out)

I agree on selling Lamar, so normally, I'd say that's a good deal. However, I'm seeing nothing from GB's offensive line and play calling to indicate that Lacy will be relevant. GB just loves the Aaron Rodgers show, so I'm looking to dump Lacy myself.

The Official Lesean McCoy Sucks Thread

I'm not convinced that Chip Kelly is all there as a pro football coach. His best player touches the ball only 10 times, and gets ignored near the goalline? For a coach that supposedly brought the revolutionary "speed offense" to the NFL, he sure didn't keep the clock running, and the Niners D winded. Not to mention that stooopid decision that gave the Niners another chance on 3rd down. Kelly's not all he's quacked up to be. -
Why did Sportsline change their gamecast style?
Bombs Away replied to The Moz's topic in FFToday Board
The new site design is way too busy, and definitely a step backwards. Sure enough, they've had their annual early season outages and screw-ups, too. Last week the website and app froze for about 45 minutes during the 1pm games. Today, only an hour in, some players had 400 to 2000 total yards. One of my leagues voted to drop them this year, and another wants them out for next year. Don't care how much "expert analysis" they provide...paying $150/yr is old news. Too many free alternatives that work plenty good. -
Wait, let's back up a second. How does it even matter if the Steelers had "possession" or not? It was 4th Down, Goal to Go. The ball automatically goes to the defending/receiving team unless there's a penalty involving off-sides, too many men, personal foul, roughing the kicker or leveredge. The only OTHER way the Packers could possibly get the ball back involves them actually recovering the ball, which they never did. The Packers could get the ball and a fresh set of downs if: 1. ...after the block, the Steelers had touched the ball beyond the line of scrimmage (ala Leon Lett), AND the Packers recovered the ball. 2. ...after the block, the Steelers did gain control, but fumbled it back AND the Packers recovered the ball. Since the offense did not at any time recover the ball, much less advance it after the block, how on earth could any rule-maker think to give the ball back to the offense?

AP is not married, and no longer had relations with the mother of this child. As is being reported everywhere now, he only recently learned that he was this child's father, but still made plans to support the child before this sick act happened. For those who question how or why AP isn't "more upset", just stop it. How else does someone react to news about a person they barely knew existed? Want to know how AP is as a father? ---> ...http://tinyurl.com/m5t28mx (That's AP Jr., not the child who died) Oh, and for you hateful, racist tough-guy trolls hiding behind mama's keyboard, there's a special place in hell for you, too.

If MJD held out with two years left on his contract, he'll do it again next year. Avoid.
