    Question on Unsigned Drafted Players

Sorry - I must have screwed up the post --- posting twice with no info in the body. The question was, what happens to an NFL player (take Laron Landry for example) that would go an entire year with out singing a contract? Does that player re-enter the draft in 2008? Does the NFL team retain his rights for another year? Thanks

    Carson Palmer?

The challenge he looks like he is having is in his delivery still. I don't think his throwing leg is fully extending which is messing with his release point. He has underthrown multiple balls on 15 yard pass plays in the dirt. This is probably made worse by the fact the line is giving him little time. The limited mobility he had to begin with is further challenged by the injury not allowing to shuffle in the pocket as well. His deep balls look great though - no problems there. With that said, in my opinion, he will still have a strong year and be in the top 3 QB's depending on scoring used. He will just struggle at times hitting some passes that he usually does when under pressure until he fixes his release point. It certainly is related either mentally or physically to the injury. I am also certain that the coaching staff and Palmer are aware of this challenge and continue to work on it. I agree w/ the previous post, he appears to play bigger in the big game agains the tougher defenses. I thought the stat they used in last weeks game on TV about Cincy being winless against winning teams at home was suprising. I thought they said 0-9 versus teams with a winning record at home. Maybe some one else who heard that could state the correct stat/figure.

    Westbrook!

As a Westbrook owner, not that I am complaining too much, why is he still even playing to run in that last TD with the game in hand (I realize they spit it up last week). Reid does this too often in my opinion. They know he can be at time fragile and has historically had some injury problems through the year. They keep him out of practice so he doesn't aggravate his knee... but with 12 minutes to go in the fourth quarter of a 31-17 game, he has him running the ball. Does he have that little faith in his D to hold a 14 point lead (which may have become 21 or 17 without Westbrook)? I would just hate to see an injury to a great player who historically gets injured when he doesn't really have to be running the ball at that point of the game.
