    Any word on Kenny Britt?

And give him more free time on his hands - that will work out well......

    Can Usain Bolt catch?

I don't know about Bolt, but Bob Hayes made an impact. So it is possible. http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/member.aspx?PLAYER_ID=276

    Can somebody please cut off

Not that it matters, but I always thought he was a Jets' fan. John

    Rams

I haven't seen this discussed anywhere, but with Clausen now sitting as a guarantee for St. Louis in Rd 2, I would go back to Holmgren and revisit the idea of dealing him Bradford if he is willing to give up much of his draft - including Haden. St. Louis can re-build their team through this draft if they move Bradford. Bradford's not nearly as sure a thing as Peyton Manning was. John

2010 NFL Draft Weekend Team Thread: New York Jets

There's talk out there that Kindle has some injury concerns and may need microfracture surgery which could be why he dropped. If that is the case I would steer clear and see if Griffen (probably won't last), Joseph or Cody are still available when the Jets pick - I'd trade up a little for Griffen. From Rotoworld Free Content: Sergio Kindle: Kindle coming off microfracture surgery? Sergio Kindle - LB - CLG - Apr. 23 - 12:43 am et Rumors are circulating that Texas DE/OLB Sergio Kindle's stock fell Thursday night because of microfracture surgery. The information is available in an article on Rivals.com, behind a pay wall, but can be accessed with a seven-day free trial. Kindle did have knee surgery prior to the 2008 season, so a microfracture follow-up procedure would be a serious red flag. The source here isn't the most reliable, but it's definitely a possible explanation for Kindle's fall out of the first round. Apr. 23 - 12:43 am et Source: Texas Longhorns on Rivals John

2010 NFL Draft Weekend Team Thread: New York Jets

I would expect the Jets to focus on a defensive player with their first two picks, with a pass rusher (Hughes, Graham or Kindle) - and if the value is there in the 2nd round, another DB. I'm also worried they may deal Leon Washington for additional pick(s) now that he has signed his tender. I would much rather keep him, he's a +++ in the locker room even if he never sees the field. FYI, the Jets don't have a Rd 5 pick, in addition to the missing Rd 3 pick. John

    C.J. Spiller to Miami @ 12 ?

I read this as a term of endearment, not him trying to be rude. Knucklehead is actually a friendly term in my house.

    Dumbest FF move this season?

Started Matt Ryan over Tom Brady in week 6. I was very proud of myself for looking closely at Brady's tentative start to the season and the poor weather expected due to a nor'easter in New England - meanwhile Ryan was coming off a few good weeks and playing indoors. What could go wrong with this thinking? Brady throws for 6 TDs in the snow - Ryan doesn't even get to 200 yards.

Do I outright drop LJ already?

I think the previous poster mistook LJ for LT in the title of the thread.

Good Luck Plaxico you got the shaft

Anyone who chooses to purchase a weapon has the obligation to understand the laws in the state they reside and abide by such. If the law and it's penalty is unfair and extreme (I think not) then it should be changed by the occupants of the state. In the meantime he broke the documented law and used extremely poor judgment in bringing this weapon into a crowded location (and carrying it carelessly). His carrying the weapon into the club put hundreds of patrons at risk - and they had no control over his reckless decision. He violated their rights by choosing to do this. He ultimately pleaded down the mandatory minimum sentence to just 2 years. He's fortunate it is a "just" a gun charge and not manslaughter. Hell, what if the gun fell out when he was leaving his house and discharged with his wife and child around. Explain that one if they were injured or killed. I do have sympathy with the fact that he probably is not a bad guy and now he will be separated from his wife and more importantly his children for a period of time. However, we should have this same sympathy for the hundreds of others that have preceded Burriss to jail for the same infraction.

ESPN reports T.O. "storms out of locker room".

And Brady was airing it out? If the defense gives you the short stuff you take. Edwards was not the reason they lost - he was one of the reasons they were in a position to win. John

    Brady= JERK

It doesn't matter that she had a nothing question for him. ESPN is paying the NFL a gazillion dollars for the rights to broadcast the games - it's not too much to ask that one of the NFL employees (yes Brady is paid by NE a part of the NFL conglomerate) to stop for a few seconds and say "aw shucks, we got lucky and we need to do better - but we'll take it." Is it really that difficult? The NFL gives her access to the field for just this purpose. Thankfully I think he realized at the end that she was just doing her job and he should just do a part of his - answer a simple question with a 15 second blurb. Kudos for Kobler to keep up with him. Steve Slaton first round bust

I'd give it a few more weeks before I consider him a bust - the Texans weren't ready for the Jets D today.

I am benching _______ for Ray Rice this week

In a PPR league there is no reason to question starting Rice over you RB#2 - and maybe your marginal RB1 in a tough week. Whether he holds up for the season is still TBD and I will tread carefully from week to week until he proves himself. By the way, it is "Jeez Louise". You need the "Z" sound to make that work...... The Steelers "dumb" down football games....BORING

I had no rooting interest last night - even from a fantasy perspective - yet I enjoyed the game a great deal. As someone pointed out, as long as you aren't watching two inept offenses, a 13-10 game is compelling to watch. Part of the excitement has to include the opening of the season, but the hitting was solid and the game was a good one. I have no pre-conditions about what a good game means to me, however the thought that a tough defensive battle - or great pitchers duel - cannot be great to watch is silly. John
