Has anyone seen CBS's website?! **PUKE***
Shakespeare replied to eaglesfreak's topic in FFToday Board
Wow. This is horrible on an epic scale. -
We want to run FAAB Sunday-Tuesday morning. Then, after waivers process, switch to first-come-first-served free agency until Sunday. The idea being that we wait to make acquiring the "hot" waiver-wire players fair for everyone. Then, later in the week, allow owners the flexibility to make immediate add/drops. Like, on Sunday morning, being able to make a last-minute change. How does the Yahoo system work? Is this possible in Yahoo? I've setup a league and _think_ this should do what I want it to do. Can Yahoo commissioners take a look and check my math? see: http://goo.gl/Nfdus

CBS Sports, ESPN & Yahoo! Your opinions.

I've looked at Fleaflicker, but a quick search of their Twitter/Facebook feeds shows a fair bit of downtime. This is to be expected with a smaller operation, but maybe not something I want to risk my league with. Can you commend about this? As for MFL, I've looked into it and (like Fleaflicker) it's really attractive to support an independent, for-pay service rather than going with your typical ad-supported platform. However, like Fleaflicker, it seems like the website is fairly rudimentary with setup being (possibly?) a bit complex? Can you comment about this? Also, I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned Yahoo. I've never used it, but it seems to be the most popular of the big sites. -
Hello, My primary league has been with CBS Sports since 2000. At the time, CBS was worth the premium. Now I'm not so sure. I would love to get your experiences regarding the 2012 season with any of these products. What about the independent league managers out there? Your feedback in greatly appreciated.

This season I've learned to be less emotional and care a lot less about fantasy football. One could spend a lifetime listing the things that can't be predicted in football. As a sport it's far more chaotic than, say, baseball. Yet, for years I constantly worried about things I could not control or predict. Even worse, I would often second guess myself; pouring over my lineup "mistakes" on Tuesday morning. After 11 seasons, I've finally come to terms with the inherent flukiness of fantasy football. That's not to say that I spend less time doing what needs to be done to win. I still do all those things and I'm happy to say I'm in the playoffs in each of my leagues. The big difference is that I'm much more level; I don't get all worked up when things go well and I don't down when things go wrong. And I'm having a lot more fun, too.

It's not even close: The Raiders Can't bring your kids to the games because the stadium is filled with drunk, belligerent ex-convicts. Can't watch from home because they consistently fail to sell out games. Set cars on fire when the Raiders lose. Set cars on fire when the Raiders win.

I'm sure this is the wrong place to post this...

That's the place, for sure. -

No reason to. I would probably do the same thing. Britt > Nicks Welker = Nicks (so your call) -

I am _not_ a Hakeem Nicks owner nor am I a Giants fan (go Skins!). That said, I think it's a little crazy that people are talking about benching Nicks. The guy is a stud. It's true that Eli isn't a great QB. It's also true that there are fewer WR options in NY, allowing defenses to consistently double Nicks. However, Nicks has the talent and athletic ability to overcome just about everything bad about the Giants offense. see: Last week when Eli threw to the defender in the endzone and Nicks adjusted to make the TD catch. My prediction is that NY comes out running (that's how you beat the Eagles D, after all), but will eventually get Nicks envolved. Especially (as it's been said) in the red zone. Unlike last week, the Giants will be playing from behind in this game. Look for Nicks to get force fed the rock in the second half. -
I don't think the only two options are to hold on to him or give him up cheap. A savvy owner could get a #1RB and #2WR for CJ right now. A great week vs. Denver could drive that price higher. Another lackluster performance and his value will definitely drop.

The Titans have found something with Hass, Britt and Washington and are happy to roll with a more pass-happy offense while CJ gets his legs back under him. I'm not a CJ owner, but I'm actively trying to acquire him as I believe his value will never be lower. However, if he does have a bad week against a Denver (team that has been run all over this season), I would start to get nervous if I were a CJ owner.

For what it's worth: "Whisenhunt won't be available to discuss Wells' injury until Friday. I don't think reporters will find out much even then. My guess? It's not a severe injury. Wells didn't have the leg wrapped as he came off the field, and he was at his locker for a portion of the media availability period." http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/KentSomers/142888

I feel for your opponent. Poor bastard.

In all likelihood, your commish will have to manually add the points to your score. Most league managers lock scores on Tuesday morning.
