I'm in the Spinal Tap division, Team @FF_Today. I think I've been a bit spoiled the last couple years in this contest, as others in my league haven't really taken the odd scoring rules to heart. This year, my division seems to be more on the ball in that regard. As a result, it's been more difficult to get the players I wanted. My first 8 picks from the 1.02 position...

1.02 - QB Jalen Hurts, PHI
2.11 - TE Trey McBride, ARI
3.11 - RB Derrick Henry, BAL
4.02 - QB Caleb Williams, CHI
5.11 - WR Michael Pittman, IND
    6.02 - WR D.J. Moore, CHI
7.11 - WR Tee Higgins, CIN
8.02 - RB Zamir White, LVR

For those unfamiliar with the scoring setup, it's wild. Superflex, .25 points per rush attempt, half-PPR for RBs, 1 PPR for WRs, 1.5 PPR for TEs.

You start 11 players each week with 6 flex spots. Kickers as well as WRs who moonlight as returners have legitimate value.

    Doug has a team too.

Yeah divisions definitely matter haha. The last two years I did the live drafts in Atlanta. Back to doing the online one this year and man it's such a different experience, particularly when you're OTC and able to see the ADP trends in live time, do a bit more in-depth research on scoring projections etc.

I decided to fade tight ends this year. I know everyone is excited about the TE premium aspects, but imho TE premium isn't enough of a booster to start reaching on guys like David Njoku, Dallas Goedert, etc. Sure the top-tier guys are in a great spot, but I think people go a little crazy when they hear "premium" on a position that is generally so-so relative to the other positions. I got sniped in the 4th round. I really wanted Pacheco in this scoring format. Had to end up abandoning my RB-heavy start.

Right now we're still in round 9. Drafting from the 1.04 position:

    1.04 - CMC
    2.09 - Saquon Barkley
    3.09 - Travis Etienne
    4.04 - Brock Purdy
    5.09 - Davante Adams
    6.04 - Mike Evans
    7.09 - Rashid Shaheed
    8.04 - Matt Stafford

  2. I don't necessarily believe they'll finish the season as top-10 RBs, but there's a few darts right now that wouldn't surprise me at all if they were in the mix as high-end RB2's or RB1s:

D'Andre Swift (RB22) - Training camp will be interesting to follow to see how involved Herbert and Roschon are.
Zack Moss (RB27) - Probably the most egregious ADP right now. My guess is by the time Labor Day hits his ADP is significantly higher. A best-ball draft target for sure in May/June/July for me.
Gus Edwards (RB40) - Harbaugh loves running the rock. Someone to keep an eye on is also rookie Kimani Vidal. But someone from the Chargers backfield is going to get more run than the others.
Kendre Miller (RB45) - Injury plagued rookie season. Kamara is another year older.
Rico Dowdle (RB50) - Zeke lmao

  3. Damn. Signed in here for the first time in a while and saw this (and his linked post).

Sucks to see. Dude was a masterclass in how to be terminally online and post with the best of them.

    RIP Elf. 🍻

  4. I would feel comfortable making that trade if you replace Adams with Kupp...but either way your team definitely has a lot of aging assets and your mentality should be focused on one of two things:

Win now with those assets or sell them off while their value is still near its higher point.

Essentially trading Kupp for Jeudy, Love and a 1st isn't a terrible haul if that first is going to be a high one. If it's a late 1st I'd say absolutely not.

  5. LaPorta should be the TE2 behind Kincaid in rookie drafts. How soon after just depends on league settings imho.

TEP? I could get behind him being a late 1st rookie pick (1.10-1.12) but I'd prefer him in the 2nd personally. I'm not in love with the running backs around that range though.

In non-TE premium dynasty I think I'd prefer a league with a taxi squad I could stash him in, and then I'd probably throw a dart in the mid-late 2nd. As most have mentioned, it's a tough position for 1st-3rd year guys to break out at.

In redraft he will definitely be a "sleeper", and as camps start and buzz picks up people will surely hype him as a zero-TE darling if folks are passing on the position. But honestly in redraft I'm not taking a backup tightend. I'll play week-to-week if punting the position or just stick with a Freiermuth/Njoku kind of guy.

I’m curious where everyone is on Mixon?

We have a decent sample size now, and last years TD production looks like an outlier.

I actually don't think his TD production is an outlier, but rather I think it was positive regression.

Mixon has finished in the top-10 for carries inside the 5-yard line 3 of the last 4 seasons (with the one he didn't where he got hurt).

With an improved offensive line, I could see Mixon make a legitimate case for RB1 overall at the end of the season. Suffice to say, I'm big time bullish on him this year.

  7. What everyone else has said. If it's just two random IDP players, draft them dead last.

Look for LB's that wear the green dot since they'll likely be on the field almost every play. Mike Woellert over at 4for4 does a recurring article each year that usually breaks down which players are doing that. For an example here's last year during Week 17: https://www.4for4.com/2021/w1/three-down-linebackers-2021-idp-leagues?aid=woellert  . A lot of those guys will be in the same situation this year as well, so it's a nice primer without much insight/research.

If you're getting corners you actually want the guys that get targeted a bunch since they get a lot of tackles/pass deflections/etc. Safeties are always good too since they get a bunch of different stats.

Defensive linemen (regardless of NT or DE) are pretty useless unless your league has some True IDP scoring settings to balance them out, but even then it's tough to get LB production out of any other position on the defensive side of the ball.

Biz sense. You don't haz it.

WTF does "kinda d1cks" even mean when contemplating drawing a mega corporation to your State? You get Amazon with a major operation in your State, and you're fiscally more sound, and your citizens are going to earn more and pay more taxes.

This is not difficult to understand. You do what you should to make your State's environment as conducive to business as possible.

Smart Governors like Scott Walker of Wisconsin get it, and attract companies like Foxconn as a result.

  9. Pretty sad that Trump is sympathetic to illegal immigrants and those that release them. What a shame that this sitting president has disdain for proper law and order and those that violate it. Disgusting!

President Trump’s closing argument for the midterm elections includes a tweet featuring convicted cop killer Luis Bracamontes, who killed two Sacramento-area deputies in a 2014 rampage.

The tweet features video of Bracamontes spewing profanities while on trial in Sacramento County Superior Court, a frequent occurrence in the years of court hearings he faced.

But the president’s claim that “Democrats let him into our country” is not entirely accurate, and neither is the claim that “Democrats let him stay.”

Bracamontes, who is now on death row at San Quentin State Prison for the October 2014 slayings of Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Davis Jr., first came into the United States in 1993, when he was 16 and Democrat Bill Clinton was president.

The Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff’s Office has told The Sacramento Bee previously that he was first arrested in Phoenix in 1996. Prosecutors in Phoenix say he was arrested Sept. 25, 1996, on deportable drug offenses related to marijuana possession and sentenced to four months in jail starting in January 1997.

Bracamontes served his time in then-Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s tent-city jail, then was handed over to federal immigration agents and deported on June 3, 1997, during Clinton’s second term.

He apparently did not stay in Mexico long. Records in Arizona show he was arrested on drug charges again in Phoenix in 1998, then released “for reasons unknown” by Arpaio’s office.

Bracamontes was next arrested May 4, 2001, on marijuana charges in Maricopa County, and deported three days later. Republican George W. Bush was president at the time, and was president when Bracamontes slipped back into the United States a short time later.

The date of his re-entry is not clear, but records show Bracamontes was married in Maricopa County on Feb. 28, 2002, when Bush was president.

By then, Bracamontes had been living near Salt Lake City where he remained until 2014, when he and his wife embarked upon a methamphetamine-fueled trip that ended with their arrests in Placer County after the deputies were killed.

  10.

    Yes or No:

    Is Hillary a criminal?

Did the FBI/DOJ/CIA spy on the Trump campaign?

Are the nearly 3 dozen career level FBI/DOJ employees in legal jeopardy for their role in Operation Crossfire Hurricane?

Is General Flynn's sentencing being delayed because they know those charges are bunk?

    Still can't answer the question?

  11.

Definitely can in Yahoo. In fact, I dropped Rudolph (on my bench) last evening and picked up Hogan before the Monday Night game.

Yeah. Yahoo and NFL.com you can. ESPN doesn't allow it though...just depends on the host site.

  12. Over the last four weeks, the Lions have run their offense out of the “11” personnel 63% of the time. That’s 19th in the NFL over that period. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has attempted more than 30 passing attempts just once over the last month. Now the Lions lose 27% of the target share and 22% of the market share of air yards.

I think the boost comes for Marvin Jones and Golladay for sure in Detroit, but I agree with Rallo. Kerryon Johnson is now in a spot where he could be a league winner in the second half of the fantasy season.

  13. The difference between you and us is after seeing evidence that the Trump accusers were paid and the Kavanaugh accusers were paid and/or recanted you still think Trump and Kavanaugh are sexual predators.

We are willing to admit when something is bullshit.

These alleged allegations against Mueller appear to be bullshit based on the parties involved (very Avenatti-esque)

Show me where Christine Blasey Ford got paid. I'll wait.

  14. During your absence were you living in an ice cave?

Tell me on what basis is the Russia Investigation based on? A crime must be committed for the appointment of a Special Counsel. Enlighten us what crime that is.

Is the investigation over or no? Don't deflect. Answer the question.

  15. so you dont believe her ?

    Focking pig!

Let the FBI go ahead and investigate Mueller. The entire scam has already been proven to be falsehood and was before it came out. You people really slay me. It's hilarious to see kool-aid drinkers in action. Keep dancing for me. Maybe I'll toss you a penny for your efforts

  16. Credible woman with credible witness claims he raped her in hotel in 2010.

Lot more evidence so far than the kavanaugh fiasco.

    Lock him up!

Jacob Wohl is going to jail for paying people to make false accusations. You focking idiots drink up fake news like it's going out of style. I love it. The FFToday Geek Club: Where the MAGA idiots come to make themselves look dumber by the day.
