Due to the severe storms of the past few days, Lake Delton is basically gone. I just can't imagine an entire lake disappearing within minutes. Just a horrible situation. LAKE DELTON - A 245-acre lake in this resort town overflowed Monday, nearly emptying the lake basin and washing away four homes.

2007 NFL Draft Weekend Team Thread: Green Bay Packers

SUNDAY, April 29, 2007, 12:35 p.m. By Tom Silverstein Broncos were interested in Harrell Had the Packers not taken Tennessee defensive tackle Justin Harrell with the 16th pick, there's a good chance the Denver Broncos would have taken him at No. 21. Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said that he had three players targeted for his spot in the first round, and most people figure it was Arkansas defensive end Jamaal Anderson, Florida end Jarvis Moss and Harrell. Anderson went eighth to the Atlanta Falcons, leaving Harrell and Moss. As soon as the Packers took Harrell with the 16th, Shanahan traded up to the 17th position and took Moss. “We had three guys that we felt very comfortable taking with the 21st pick, and two of those guys were gone when we decided to trade up," Shanahan said Saturday. The Denver coach's statement lends credence to GM Ted Thompson's claim that he couldn't drop back too far without the risk of losing out on Harrell. It's unclear whether Shanahan liked Harrell or Moss better. "We had a game plan that included three guys and we were hoping that two of those guys were going to be there and we would be able to get both of them," Shanahan said. "You never know what is going to happen on draft day. When Justin Harrell went to Green Bay, that is when we stepped up and decided to make a move to get the guy that we wanted and the guy that was worthy of our first pick.” link

2007 NFL Draft Weekend Team Thread: Green Bay Packers

TT has had some luck finding players his way. I have to trust him on this guy. Scouting Report: Despite declaring after his junior year, Jackson really has only one full season of significant college experience. In 2006 he proved he can be a very productive, versatile, and elusive runner, piling up yards and touchdowns for the Cornhuskers. While he's not particularly big or lightning-fast, Jackson is a very instinctive back who reads plays extremely well and uses superb jukes and lateral moves to find holes. He also showed skills as a returner. Jackson is a top sleeper who may eventually find himself starting in an NFL backfield. Impact: This may be the running back that most were expecting the Pack to take in the first round. The best way to describe Jackson is 'elusive,' and he has the talent to be eventually be a starter for Green Bay. While not an elite-level back, Jackson is sneaky-good and is the type who might end up being better than his draft position. A cagey pick by the Packers, who may still go out and bring in a veteran runner until Jackson is ready for prime time. Link

Coupons for 1/2 price Brewers Tickets to 6 pre-selected games (8 games total)

    evening bump
  7. Coupons for 1/2 price Brewers Tickets to 6 pre-selected games (8 games total) My wife and I have belong to a group called the Old Time Ball Players Association and have been members for 7+ years. We just received the yearly mailer and I thought that I would let the Brewer fans on this board know about the club & what it has to offer. Basically it’s a group that promotes baseball history in Wisconsin & baseball in general and has a great deal worked out with the Brewers for ½ price tickets to (6) pre-selected games plus (2) bonus games per year. The deal worked out with the Milwaukee Brewers to allows OTBPA members to attend 6 pre-selected games plus (2) bonus games for ½ off the regular ticket price. Cost of the OTBPA membership is $10 yearly. All you have to do is present the coupons from the yearly mailer to any ticket window and decide on where you want to sit. Club Level & Field level seats are included in this deal subject to ticket availability of course. There are some limitations. Uecker seats, Cubs games, special promotions or fan giveaway games are not included in the ½ price ticket deal but that still leaves a lot of games where you can get a field level seat for far less than $50 The (6) pre-selected games and (2) bonus games are: Wednesday, April 4, 2007 vs. LA Dodgers Tuesday, May 29, 2007 vs. Atlanta Braves Friday, June 22, 2007 vs. KC Royals Monday, July 16, 2007 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Sunday, August 19, 2007 vs. Cincinnati Reds Tuesday, September 25, 2007 vs. St Louis Cardinals 1 Monday-Thursday game in either April or May plus 1 Monday-Thursday game in either August or September The OTBPA also has a great annual spring banquet at Serb Hall that includes a guest speaker that is affiliated with the Brewers in some way, free beer and soda from 5:30PM until 6:30PM (when the banquet starts) and a Raffle after the dinner portion is over. The Raffles include a cash raffle and a huge amount of baseball related items/collectibles that awaits anyone who purchases either of the two raffle tickets. The banquet is a blast and is only $10 per ticket. The raffle this year is on Thursday, April 12, 2007. For more information contact the OTBP Hotline: 262-292-4002. If anyone wants to take a look at what the yearly mailer looks like, I saved it in a JPEG format. http://www.savefile.com/files/544057 http://www.savefile.com/files/544046

    Mail Order Nannies?

Is it cheaper/easier to become Morman or to get a divorce? Because that would really have a bearing on my interest level.

    I have a furnace question

I was tired last night and put to much info into one jumbled paragraph. I'm not surprised it read funny. But yes, the transformer can give you problems. You're right, my troubleshooting does need work but I certainly know where to get the right information and I trust my reference material. Sorry but this explanation is from a trouble shooting book of mine and will be a bit lengthy. Don't try repairing your furnace on your own unless it's for something VERY simple. For reference ONLY, "If the pilot/spark ignition won't light, check to see if the electrode is sparking. If it's sparking, check the voltage at the pilot valve. If voltage isn't present at the PV, there is a problem in the relight control module. If the electrode is sparking & there is sufficient voltage at the PV, check the gas supply at the inlet of the gas valve. If the inlet gas supply is sufficient, check the outlet leading to the pilot. If there is gas at the outlet, clean the pilot orifice. If there is no gas at the pilot outlet, the problem is in the gas valve. If the pilot will not light & the electrode isn’t sparking, check the voltage at the transformer secondary “R” connection. If 24V isn’t present at the “R” connection, check the voltage at the power supply. If there is 120V at the power supply, check the voltage at the transformer primary. If low, or no voltage is present, the problem is in the door switch. If normal voltage is present, the problem is in the transformer. If 24V is present at the “R” connection, check the voltage at the “W” connection. Low or no voltage would indicate a problem in the thermostat (or the wiring). If normal voltage is present at the “W” connection, check the voltage at the relight control module. Low voltage indicates burnt contacts in the limit control. No voltage means the limit is open." In other words, contact a pro and have a qualified service tech repair the furnace.

    I have a furnace question

A couple of things for you, 1) Your thermostat is probably just fine but there could be a problem with it or the wiring to it.. 2) This forum is better suited to ask furnace questions. This link is for a similar problam a homeowner was having with his furnace. 3) The following link is for reference only. You're better off and safer having a pro work on your furnace unless you're VERY comfprtable working around this type of equipment. Problem: Your furnace will not ignite the gas to produce heat for your home. When a furnace has a bad ignitor what I see most of the time is the following sequence of operation: 1. Thermostat calls for heat. 2. Draft inducer motor starts. 3. Pressure switch attached by a small plastic or rubber tube senses the negative pressure produced by the draft inducer and closes. 4. Draft inducer runs for 30 seconds to a minute before you hear a gas hissing sound. The ignitor did not glow, the flame sensor (a small metal probe about 1/8" in diameter, with a white porcelain base) does not sense the flame, so after 8 to 10 seconds the hissing sounds stops with no ignition of gas to heat your home. Your furnace shuts down and goes into a lock out condition until you turn your power switch back off and on again. Solution: Sorry, but you need to purchase and install a new ignitor.

    I have a furnace question

What brand is it and do you know the model #? I might be able to help tomorrow after I screw up my refrigeration exam.

    I have a furnace question

It could be a variety of things. If the pilot isn't lighting, is the electrode sparking or not sparking? Is there voltage to the pilot valve? Does he have voltage to the transformer? Is the gas valve defective? Does the pilot oriface need to be cleaned? Is the transformer bad? I'm just a tired HVAC student in the middle of finals so I won't be holding anyones hand tonight but it sounds like a service call is in order. P.S. If you're willing to let the Wife/SO sleep with the service tech I bet you could save a few bucks on the service call.

    Who's the better RB

I'm a Henry supporter but I think a lot of Henry owners will be surprised someday in the future when he is inactive on game day so that the Titans can see what they have in their rookie rb. Henry is only the future as a short term starter and maybe a rbbc next year if White is only average. Green is solid for Green Bay. There is no 50/50 split rbbc is Green Bay if he is healthy although Herron & Morency will see decent time spelling him. Washington might be the guy if Martin doesn't come back. It's a crowded backfield in Jets land but he's the best choice among the three you mentioned because of his upside.
