You couldn't have picked a better story to ask for. So, Zeppelin was playing at the Capital Center in Landover, MD in the early '70s. This was before I had discretionary money and had not purchased tickets. There was a girl living near us and she called up and said she had some LSD and we should do it that night. She came over, we took it and as we were getting off like skyrockets, we decided to drive over to Cap Centre and see Zeppelin. Forgot that I had maybe $7 and surely not enough to buy scalped tickets. Anyway, we got there and there were Cops on Horses announcing that if you didn't have tickets, you had to vacate the premises. We didn't do either and at one point a Cop on his Horse came by me and leaned over and got me in a headlock and traveled about 20-30 feet with me straggling along. When he let go, I turned around and my girl had run along behind and we were both laughing our asses off. A plain clothes Cop came over and asked me did I have tickets and I said I did but I lost them when the Cop on Horse dragged me. The plain clothes Cop took us into the line entering the building and handed us 2 tickets (no charge). Maybe he thought there was a lawsuit because of that Cop. When my girl and I got in and found our seats, we sat down beside a couple and I announced that we were tripping our asses off and they said, 'we are, too ! So, concert = it was fantastic ! Zeppelin played Stairway To Heaven about the 3rd song in and didn't wait for the encore. I'm pretty sure it was a great show but truthfully, any show would have been great that night. Okay, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
