if i can't spite drop them then i plan to, at least, grudge (pump) them
-
according to the projections i tend to use (this site), henry will have 8.6 and giesicki will have 5
-
i think people are just coming up with ways to make a decision. imo, the "cancel out theory" was originally thought up by someone thinking they were being very clever, but they really weren't...
-
that's fine, but choosing between 2 equal projections by "cancel out" is not any better of a way than flipping a coin. no, noone can see the future, so everything is based on projections at the time the decision is made. one should try to pick the player they think will have more points. saying that a player will have more points because some random dude has the player's QB in a fantasy lineup makes no sense
-
not sure i even agree with this. if the 2 players in question get 3-60-1 it does not matter that the one TE's TD came from the opponents QB. I guess, if you really have a hunch that the QB and his TE will blow up you can do that, but the other TE could blow up too. so, i tend to think of the cancel out theory as smoke and mirrors, but that's just me

anyone have a guess as to whether murray is just added depth or if he is going to be the #2?
-
yeah, i actually had higgins last night, so i'm more likely to go with the perceived safer play here. Hill is not getting alot of looks at receptions so it's a big gamble as to whether he'll get an opportunity at the goal line (or if he'll something with 1 or 2 plays under center)
-
i guess so. if i even understand what edgy means. my other option, where i have hill, is everette. i'm probably sticking with everette, personally.
-
Andy Dalton will start at QB in Winston's absence. So, what the gamble is: will the Saints utilize Hill more in hybrid roles in order to make up for not having Winston in the game? That's a difficult question to answer, honestly. I sort of doubt the Saints view Dalton as such a drop off from Winston that they need to utilize Hill more, but what do i know? I guess odds go up of Hill getting some QB run since, if Dalton is struggling they may need to go to Hill under center more (whereas usually it would be Winston-> Dalton instead)

so, he has been an unsigned FA trying to find a spot - not someone trying to retire, i suppose?

what has beasley been doing? is anyone confident he's ready to go (and not just a fishing exercise by TB)?

Instant Fantasy Analysis - RB James Cook, Bills
cavern replied to The Football Guru's topic in FFToday Board
Bumping the James Cook thread to inquire about his 11 carries last night. I was not able to watch the game. I'm assuming the carries were all in garbage time and, therefore, not notable to fantasy. However, I thought I would ask if anyone sees things differently? This is possibly the best offense in the league. Does anyone believe Cook will become more than a mop up option? -
I think it sort of depends on dynasty/keeper vs redraft. I'm going to assume we're discussing redraft. I believe the choice is claypool. In week 1 he got 10 touches to olave's 3. of course olave's role will likely expand as he gets his feet wet in the league. however there is also the potential for the steelers to upgrade at qb at some point. pickett looked great in the preseason especially throwing the short/quick hitting type plays. Claypool, when he wasn't lining up in the backfield, mainly was lining up in the slot. I think claypool is the more valuable player this season for FFB

this prediction is off to a fast start

idiot 49er's forgot to ask the elf

so, what are you all doing with robinson? late pick? not picking him? how about in dynasty?

ugh - i had not known about his mental health issues. the comments from dez bryant seem to insinuate that he believes the mental health issues stem from his playing days, which makes sense - with his style of play he probably sustained numerous concussions. smh. RIP marion
