In all fairness Davis only has 3 games under his belt and all of them against top 5 pass defenses. Not sure what you were hoping for here.
-
I know...I watched the game as well (unfortunate Gman fan). Kids putting to much pressure on himself since he knows there is absolutely NOONE else. I don't find it a coincidence that two of his lowest points were in games where Shepard was out. Shepards far from an All Pro. But he at least gets respect from opposing defenses. If you want to bench him here on out feel free. Lord knows I will with Shepard out (luckily I also have Doyle) but if Shepard plays then I will be starting Engram (all things being equal).

Both games didn't have WR Shepard in. There is literally nobody else for the secondary to even look at outside of the TE. If Shepard is out next week keep Engram on the bench. If Shepard plays then Engram plays IMO.

Allowing eliminated teams to perform transactions
thomsoad replied to himmystyles's topic in FFToday Board
Trades no. Waiver wire only after the waiver for that week has been completed by the "contenders". Person eliminated gets the leftovers of the players still on waivers. -
no brainer for me...yes.

I taunted the fantasy gods...how do I reverse the curse?!

"Dark Knight Rises" has a great quote for this exact scenario: "Victory has defeated you." You got complacent with your team. Happens all the time. Most people who start off strong end up faltering at the end because they don't make any changes to their roster. I know im guilty of it and its normal. So while you sat back with your team at 6-1 those "cr@p" teams were picking up guys who had one or two good games in a row only to become monster players. In my experience starting off really strong is the worse thing that can happen to a team overall. -
I picked him up a couple of weeks ago. Personally I will always have a little love for Gordon...I won the championship when I picked him up 3 years ago. But I did not pick up Gordon for exactly that reason. The man hasn't played any meaningful football in years. Gordon is not a threat IMO this year.

Jack Doyle, Lamar Miller, or Duke Johnson??

Personally I wouldn't play J Nelson. Bad QB and good D means no chance for Nelson.

I remember a long time ago there was an interview with Michael Irving when he was still playing football and asked that exact same question. Miami had been national champions and were a dynasty when he played for them. He said that while playing for "The U" he firmly believed that they were good enough to compete in the NFL. He then went on to say that after his very first PRESEASON game he knew that there was no way they could have even competed against NFL caliber. Its that much of a difference.

Is anyone else thinking about benching their first 2 picks?
thomsoad replied to rfiori9's topic in A Little Help!
I know its tempting to jump to conclusions after week one...but don't. Play the "studs" till after week 3. Only then do you get a real sense of what kind of player you really have. I have B Marshall and A Jeffrey and I am still plugging them into my lineup. Meanwhile ... Parker will still be sitting on my bench. -
Sharpe
-
I personally think you are fine. I also have/had Keenan. Luckily like you I have Sharpe. Granted the guy plays for the Titans...but he was targeted a whopping 11 times and catching 7 of em. That's pretty sweet and not far off from K Allen. I had him as my backup WR and I have no fear inserting him into the starting lineup...for now

Im gonna be nice and answer this question....Hes retired. Landry

Pick up Ware and start em along with Jennings -
I drafted Devante Parker but so far he appears to be in the Dolphins doghouse. Meanwhile Tajae Sharpe has looked impressive in the Titans camp and preseason. From a pure pedigree standpoint Parker is the obvious choice (metrics, currently has one year NFL experience) but the guy seems to be always hurt. Thoughts?

Joined a new money league and just found out that they play IDP (DL and LB). Never done this kind of league and unsure where IDP players should be drafted. Would greatly appreciate any insight.

I start one each. ESPN Scoring system is as follows: Each Sack (SK) 1 Blocked Punt, PAT or FG (BLKK) 2 Each Interception (INT) 2 Each Fumble Recovered (FR) 2 Each Safety (SF) 2 Solo Tackles (TKS) 1

Sankey...who's got the _____ to start him
thomsoad replied to gimethedamnball's topic in FFToday Board
In my case its not balls...its lack of options. Luckily im incredibly loaded at WR...which has carried me extremely well thus far. Ive been for the most part able to handle Sankeys weekly single digit performances. -
Maclin should have a huge day. Don't let last week spook you. What happened is normal when a new QB is installed...they go conservative in throwing the ball. Sanchez will be making it up to Maclin this week. Easy 12 targets to Maclin...at the minimum!
-
IMO Hill Bengals have been a shell the last few weeks. Until they show something I wouldn't start any of em. Plus Pats vs Colts is gonna be a score fest. Vereen is gonna be on the field a lot in this one.

I hate to give a blah answer but all three are crapshoots. IF I have to choose one I guess it would be Miller. But I would hold my nose on any of those 3 choices.
