Him being Prez and being a complete has definitely gotten him higher profile. If he didn’t run for Prez these cases would all be going on still IMO.

DeSantis isn’t good. Seems like years ago he was a considered serious contender. Not really sure how that was ever a thing after listening to him in these debates.

I was behind him in line at the Park Hyatt in DC. About 15 years ago, He was getting tip change. Dalai Lama (big hitter) was also in the hotel and one of Beastie Boys. Quite the scene at the hotel bar!

“Three individuals have been arrested on charges of operating a “high-end brothel network” in Massachusetts and Virginia with a clientele that included elected officials, military officers and government contractors with security clearances, the Justice Department announced Wednesday. “Pick a profession,” Joshua Levy, acting US attorney for Massachusetts, said of the sprawling client list during a press conference in Boston. “They’re probably represented in this case.”

The context of this whole discussion is how important last night was to today’s political climate. It seems it was a much better night for Dems. Doesn’t really matter to next year but does provides trends to look at and political dorks stuff to talk about

It seems that women don’t like old dudes on message boards dictating their choices. Weird!

That is much more relevant than pointing out they held the office from 1920-1990 Anyways. I don’t know how relevant this is nationally but certainly isn’t a good thing either if you are team red tie, more specifically MAGA. Another Trump pick loses. Beshear won easily. More broadly it was a better night for Dems than Republicans for what that is worth. We’ll see what this means going forward. Abortion issue on particular is a big loser for Republicans. They are out of touch on this issue.
-
I didn’t see your link, the one you responded to didn’t have those figures. I’m sure how it is defined is coming into play. In any case Beshear did spend more. As to looking at recent trends. The recent past is far more relevant than looking back into the 1990s or earlier don’t you think?
-
I think to point out that they have had 20 straight Dem govs without context but that past 4 elections have been split is not misleading. The opposite really. I don’t really know that this means for national politics though. Beshear seems pretty talented. What I do think is relevant is the other guy was running in part on the election was rigged BS and strong anti-abortion views and he was soundly defeated.
-
Do you think talking about elections in 1952 have as much relevance as ones in the past 20 years? It is interesting to point out that KY has had such a run on Dem Govs. But it is also important that this trend has been changing.
