TBH I don’t know a whole lot about Cracker Barrel other than I have eaten there maybe 20 times. i haven’t read or seen anyone from their org talking about “woke”, I didn’t see anyone saying this rebrand was about being “woke”. They changed the logo and the decor. I asked and the only people who have responded were TB who posted a link that didn’t mention anything about “woke” and you who just said look deeper. So what is the “woke” part?

The logo is pretty bad. So was the old one. Way too busy. The company doesn’t follow any of these “woke policies”, they still serve the same “down home” bullshit food (I love it when on a road trip). Not really seeing this effort to shoehorn “woke” into this.

Perhaps. But what they did isn’t “woke”. Pretty much every chain restaurant has done a refresh of the logo and the decor over the years. It was just a bad choice it seems like at the moment. Is this the jumping the shark moment for calling something woke? Hopefully

It seems like a normal brand refresh. A badly judged one but not getting this woke angle and why people are losing their minds over it.

I do like a good Coors Banquet or Miller High Life with you there. That IBU is the bitter unit measurement. Tap rooms or breweries usually have it up there on the board next to the name. For my taste anything over 50 or so starts getting pretty hoppy and bitter tasting which I think is what gets people thinking IPA’s are hard to drink. I guess over the years I have acquired the taste but I get people thinking they aren’t smooth. Anything with “session” In the name will be easier drinking. Have my first draft tonight so will be heading down to pick some up later this afternoon!

Sweet nectar. Love a good IPA. Get the IBU around 50 and it’s the perfect drink for a quick hang with some friends.

Because you don’t need to drink 6 of them like you would with say a lager. All beers and alcohol have their time and use. On a boat drinking all day light beers or some seltzers, with dinner some wine, after work to relax some bourbon, etc. With some friends an IPA is perfect as you catch a good buzz and only need a couple. These taprooms that are everywhere now are a great add to the world of boozing.
