That alone was a big deal. Putin was saying a dime of help would be grounds for WW3. People were rightfully worried about what his reaction would be. Within years of that Ukraine was bombing inside Russia. People (us included) thought this war would be over in a few days and Ukraine would collapse.

I would say arming Ukriane, allowing them to blow up hundreds of thousands of their soldiers with our blessing, blowing up their pipeline allegedly was pretty ballsy. Theres a whole thread on here that claimed it was doomsday and WW3.

Say what you will about Sleepy Joe but mobilizing against Russia after the invasion was one of his stronger points. He crossed numerous redlines from Vlad that were supposed to lead to WW3. At first it was any aid, any sanctions were redlines. A couple years later Ukraine was flying our jets and launching drones into Russia and killing hundreds of thousands of their army. One would think the good guys (us, Europe, and Ukraine) would have some leverage.

There is no way to know that would have happened. Putin has bombed Ukraine repeatedly, especially every time they talk. Trump made ending this war a priority in his campaign. Said it would be easy. Putin wants no part of it unless it’s entirely on his terms.

Anyone could end the war if you end funding Ukraine and then give Putin everything. Not much to that strategy. As I said initially I hope this meeting goes better for Trump than in Helsinki. That was bad.

He lied with his “correction” because his statement was so absurd. In a rare event he realized how stupid and submissive he sounded so he made a laughably stupid “correction”. Don didn’t misspeak when he said he believed Putin when he told Don he didn’t mess with our election. He believed Putin over our IC. We don’t know what Putin would have done if Biden had lost to Trump. It’s impossible to say, you know because it didn’t happen. How do you know? What we do know is that Putin does whatever he likes with Donald as prez when it comes to Ukraine so that makes me believe he would have done this regardless.
