US State Survivor: Round 1: Groups D/E...

I’d say Arkansas is underrated. Gone there for work and was dreading it a bit, PITA to get there, was expecting a bit rednecky (doesn’t bother me too much but not the greatest either). Was pleasantly surprised. For sheer beauty Montana ranks very high.

No one in the history of the union has ever said “I’m super stoked to get to North Dakota”.

Sure. CO2 is one, right? It was extremely high during when the dinosaurs were here. There were other factors during that period that also drove temps up. Do you think it would be bad for us if temps rose to that level?
  12. thegeneral

    Canadian smoke

You believe that higher concentration of CO2 causes warming

I see you have given up. You’re welcome for setting you straight. Please refer back to this when you fall back into believing that the scientific community has only thought climate change occurred while people were here.

    Canadian smoke

You have created a narrative in your mind about what the scientific community has said. Your version of what is being said is laughably stupid.

You are oddly questioning that these scientists are unaware that the climate has changed throughout time. I have now quoted it 3 times for you. No one is saying that the climate hasn’t changed throughout time. No one is saying that it has never been hotter. They are saying that the climate is warming rapidly, it is primarily driven by man, and that it will be really bad since 8 billion people live here now.

They do know the climate has changed throughout time. That’s not in question, you know that right?

What was the point of your first comment?

    Canadian smoke

You asked why climate change was only occurring now. It of course has changed throughout time. That was a dumb thing to ask.. What do you think would happen to people if the climate was as warm as say when the dinosaurs were here?
  19. thegeneral

    Canadian smoke

They are aware that the climate has changed, we just talked about how hot it was when dinosaurs were here. Correct?
  20. thegeneral

    Canadian smoke

Yep. It’s like 98% of the scientific community believes that human activity is a primary driver of climate change.
  21. thegeneral

    Canadian smoke

Yep. We have a good idea from people who spend their lives studying this stuff building on decades of research. People who have no clue seem to like to pick and choose what the experts say.

Do you think we know the temps when dinosaurs lived here?

Canada is definitely warming rapidly and having droughts.

More fires up there for sure. Warmer, drier, larger drought areas. A few years back my area got it bad, we have had a lot of fires as well.
