I see this is getting me nowhere. One mistake and I'm suddenly the Geek Club black sheep. I hope none of you ever make a mistake.

I thought about going to AA or whatever that one is for drugs, but I don't want to sit around and cry with a bunch of people who are probably more messed up than I am. I don't want to have to give up alcohol for good. I just want to control it and kick the idea of doing drugs every now and then.

You seem like a pretty nice guy. No need to resort to cruelty.

I know that many of you have gone through rough times. I look at sawilson's struggle with alcohol. I see so many of you lamenting the demise of marriages or the deaths of loved ones. I'm the perfect storm of so many problems right now. I'm so tired of waking up in the morning with a screaming hangover and a stranger in my bed. I have trouble piecing together events from the night before. Every morning, I wake up with the intention of doing things right, being emotionally and physically healthy, getting myself on a new road, but then as the day wears on, I find new ways to rationalize another evening of self-destructive behavior. My friends and even some family members are distancing themselves from me. I've hurt so many around me. I'm at rope's end. How can I turn all this around?

OK, this is starting to get kind of unhealthy for me. I'm really not as stable as I thought I was. Yes, I made a mistake, and I've apologized for that mistake and am making plans to correct it and do whatever I can to repair the damage. Again, I am sorry. I hope that in time, at least some of you can forgive me.

I'm not aware of all the channels where money was being funneled. Ask Ravens03 whether he got his money back.

That's fine. I'm just doing what I can to clear my conscious. I don't blame anyone for being angry and I don't expect anyone to forgive me. I just know that I can do nothing to move forward and out of this mess I'm in without apologizing to those I've hurt. I know there are some of you out there who can understand that.

I haven't given the money back. I'd worked out a way to get it back to some people but never followed through. Now I don't have the money. I wish I did but I don't. I'm doing what I can to repair my life and promise to repay those who were so generous to me. Now that I realize the shame that I've brought to myself and others, the pain is almost unbearable. Hopefully all of this is a turning point. I don't see how I could go any lower.

What I thought at the time was a funny prank on my part turned into a disastrous nightmare. Back then, my life was spiraling out of control, and I wasn't thinking clearly. Since then, things have not gotten much better. I have some problems that I'm too embarrassed to go into. I'll just say that I've done some things I'm seriously ashamed of, and those around me and who love me are seriously ashamed of, and my little incident involving you guys is just the least of it. I really don't know what else to say but that I'm sorry.

You have a long way to go to sound remotely like Philly.. Another day in the Cali heat wave! I must say I have a better appreciation for the firefighters out there. I just could not do it for the heat factor alone. GB all of them and hope they all remain safe during the fire season!
