Thoughts of Justin Jefferson this year

I haven't read all the responses yet but would agree Lamb, Hill and Chase probably deserve to be ahead, but with Darnold, there is a chance of inconsistency, and their defense will keep them in games enough to where they may be forced to throw the ball more often helping to prop his #'s to #4 overall.

    Chiefs Running Backs

I did just read this "After Edwards-Helaire busted as a first-round pick, the Chiefs changed their running back strategy. Per PlayerProfiler, Pacheco is 24 years old, five-foot-ten, 216 lbs., with a 98th-percentile size-adjusted speed score. Prince is 24, six feet, 216 lbs., with a 96th-percentile size-adjusted speed score. The team invested minimal draft capital in either player (none in Prince's case). On paper, they are the living embodiment of the Spiderman meme. Prince still has to prove he can pass protect. But the fact he's getting the chance to do so this early in training camp is a positive sign. Kansas City may see him as a redundant asset to Pacheco, whose never-say-die running style should eventually result in multiple missed games."

    Keeper thoughts whir

In a PPR, I would keep the top 3.

Which 3 Keepers would you select?

I agree. You let any of the other 3 back into the draft you will not get them back most likely at 9. There is a chance you could still get a very good QB even if it is not Allen. In the future, also put your type of league, PPR, 1/2 PPR and standard. Also wouldn't hurt to know whether Allen gets 6 pts per TD. That may change some advice.

    Rookie ONLY draft

Some magazines will rank rookies with the whole group as well as by position which is nice in your situation because you can draft to need if you wanted.

    Chiefs Running Backs

I would agree here. They will probably sign someone after cuts start. They know what they have in CEH, not the best option, but still roster worthy for a breather. I never heard of Prince either until just now.

    Broncos Rb's

Definitely a messy situation. Thunder and lightning will most likely be back. I think Javonte stays on as the primary (45% snaps), McLaughlin (40% snaps) is the passing down specialist with some series to himself. If Javonte falters or does not have a strong showing, I think Estime (15% snaps initially) takes over that role. I believe Perine gets cut if I were to choose.

    O-lines Matter

    I completely agree.

    Brian Robinson Jr.

I am in the same boat about Ekler. I think he is coming in to fill the shoes of Gibson where he will get some carries as well. Last year he missed 2 games and as you mentioned finished 21st in scoring. The offense should be better this year under new coaching with a better QB. I think anything above RB25 could be a steal.
  10. I think it depends on where you are drafting and what type of league this is. PPR, 1/2 PPR or standard. I have been reading things about this myself. With Gibbs and Montgomery, I think waiting on Montgomery may pay off, like you go WR-WR in the first round of a PPR. He was more consistent last year of the two. I think Gibbs will be more consistent than he was last year because they will be lining him up at WR at times meaning Monty stays on the field. You are correct about Brown and Smith, Brown was slightly more consistent last year out of the two but Smith's numbers declined some from the prior year. Smith provides an amazing value as a #3WR should you go WR-WR-RB-WR in a PPR and he is there in the 4th round I think in your initial post, the gap between Puka and Kupp maybe wider than the other two. Last year Kupp showed his age at times with the injuries and when on the field was not as consistent in scoring as Puka. He will still have big games but I think they may be a little further apart than they used to be.

    Hall, Taylor and Etienne?

I am in a 1/2 ppr, 12 team dynasty/keeper auction league. $300 to draft 19 players; line up 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1 Flex (RB, WR, TE), 1K, 1 Def. My current keepers are: B. Hall $46 (can keep 3 more years), J. Taylor $34 (can keep 4 more years), T. Etienne $14 (can keep 2 more years) Other options: J. Love $1, Z. Moss $6, Dionte Johnson $15, M. Pittman $5 and T. Dell $15 Best to go in with who I have as all 3 RBs could easily finish top 5 at their position, or should I try to make a deal for a top tier WR like Jefferson for $25 (last year). The concern is that based on ADP, the only top 15 WR's available are Lamb, AJ Brown, M Harrison, D Adams, Evans, London and Samuel. The last 3 I would not feel good about as my #1 WR. The others will most likely range in the $60-100 range, the lower being Harrison since he is a rookie. What I was thinking to offer is Etienne and Pittman or Dell for Jefferson straight up. Go in with Hall, Taylor and Jefferson. Having essentially 3 players with current ADP in top 7 for just $105. Or Hall, Taylor and Etienne for $94. Etienne is just outside the top 7, about ADP 9.

    Trade Question

I think I would hang on to Robinson. If teams can keep 100 players, a 3rd round pick, possibly 21-30 more spots down is not going to get you someone better than Robinson. I think Ekler is there for 3rd down and occasional series. BR missed 2 weeks last year and still finished 23rd in a 1/2 PPR. Gibson was there as well.
