    The History Of Liberals

History began some 12,000 years ago. Humans existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunter/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer & would go to the coast & live on fish & lobster in winter. The 2 most important events in all of history were the invention of beer & the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization & together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into 2 distinct subgroups: Liberals & Conservatives. Once beer was discovered it required grain , & that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed. Some men spent their days tracking & killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as "The Conservative movement." Other men who were weaker & less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's & doing the sewing, fetching & hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement. Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as 'girleymen, homosexuals, trans, etc Another tranny thread! Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, & the concept of democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat & beer that conservatives provided. Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass. Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish. Sushi, tofu, & french food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting revolutionary side note: Most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in hollywood & group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't "fair" to make the pitcher also bat. Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat . Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, soldiers, athletes & generally anyone who works productively outside government. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living. Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to "govern" the producers & decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tame & created a business of trying to get MORE for nothing. Here ends today's lesson

    It's Winter

That's because the jet stream has stayed to the south. Low pressure systems ride along the jet stream and that's why they've had so much winter weather in the south, & those of us in the upper Midwest haven't seen very many storms, just crazy cold.

They can't make Weird Science Anymore!

The NBC show To Catch a Predator was canceled in 2008 after the suicide of Bill Conradt. Conradt was an assistant district attorney in Rockwall County, Texas who was caught talking to a Perverted-Justice volunteer posing as a 13-year-old boy. Conradt shot himself as police and an NBC camera crew entered his home.

They can't make Weird Science Anymore!

WOW! Done in by the 'Creep Catcher Unit' This shows how focked up America is. The show "To Catch a Predator" was cancelled primarily due to the controversy and legal issues that arose after a man, a Texas assistant district attorney, committed suicide when police attempted to serve him with a search warrant during a sting operation captured on camera, leading to lawsuits against the show and raising ethical concerns about the nature of the sting operations depicted on air. What's wrong with a disgusting perv offing himself ?

  11. The Cost of Illegal Immigration to Taxpayers Prepared Testimony of Steven A. Camarota Director of Research Center for Immigration Studies For Immigration integrity, security, and enforcement subcommittee of the house judiciary committee Hearing entitled “the impact of illegal immigration on social services Thursday, January 11, 2024 Key Points • The current surge of illegal immigration is unprecedented. Some 2.7 million inadmissible aliens have been released into the country by the administration since January 2021. There have also been 1.5 million “got-aways” — individuals observed entering illegally but not stopped. Visa overstays also seem to have hit a record in FY 2022. • We preliminarily estimate that the illegal immigrant population grew to 12.8 million by October of 2023, up 2.6 million since January 2021, when the president took office. This is the net increase in the illegal population based on monthly Census Bureau data, not the number of new arrivals. • Illegal immigrants have a negative fiscal impact -- taxes paid minus benefits received -- primarily because a large share have modest levels of education, resulting in relatively low average incomes and tax payments, along with significant use of means-tested programs and other government services. • Using the National Academies’ estimate of immigrants’ net fiscal impact by education level, we estimate that the lifetime fiscal drain (taxes paid minus costs) for each illegal immigrant is about $68,000, although this estimate comes with some caveats. • Illegal immigrants make extensive use of welfare. Based on government data, we estimate that 59 percent of households headed by illegal immigrants use one or more major welfare programs, compared to 39 percent of households headed by the U.S.-born. • Based on their use rate of major welfare programs, we estimate that illegal immigrants receive $42 billion in benefits, or about 4 percent of the total cost of the cash, Medicaid, food and housing programs examined in our study. However, this is only a rough approximation due to limitations in the data. • Illegal immigrants can receive welfare on behalf of U.S.-born children. Also, illegal immigrant children can receive school lunch/breakfast and WIC directly. A number of states provide Medicaid to some illegal immigrants, and a few provide SNAP. Several million illegal immigrants also have work authorization (e.g. DACA, TPS and some asylum applicants), allowing receipt of the EITC. • The high welfare use of illegal immigrant households is not explained by an unwillingness to work. In fact, 94 percent of illegal immigrant households have at least one worker, compared to only 73 percent of U.S.-born households. But the nation’s welfare system is design to help low-wage workers with children, which describes a very large share of illegal immigrant households. • In addition to consuming welfare, illegal immigration makes significant use of public education. Based on average costs per student, the estimated 4 million children of illegal immigrants in public schools created $68.1 billion in costs in 2019. The vast majority of these children are U.S.-born. • Use of emergency medical services is another area in which illegal immigrants create significant fiscal costs. Prior research indicates that there are 5.8 million uninsured illegal immigrants in the country in 2019, accounting for a little over one-fifth of the total population without health insurance. The costs of providing care to them likely totals some $7 billion annually. • Illegal immigrants do pay some taxes. We estimate that illegal immigrants in 2019 paid roughly $5.9 billion in federal income tax, $16.2 billion in Social Security tax and $3.8 billion in Medicaid taxes. However, as the net fiscal drain of $68,000 per person cited above indicates, these taxes are not nearly enough to cover the cost of the services they receive. • Illegal immigrants do add perhaps $321 billion to the nation’s GDP, but this is not a measure of their tax contributions or the benefits they create for the U.S.-born. Almost all the increase in economic activity goes to the illegal immigrants themselves in the form of wages. I only read about 1/8 of this report, so it might be mentioned later, but something that wasn't covered is the cost absorbed by US citizens for those that are criminal types. https://budget.house.gov/imo/media/doc/the_cost_of_illegal_immigration_to_taxpayers.pdf

Lets Talk Old School Malls That Are Left

I'm retired, so whenever I see a stretch of weather like that coming up, I buy everything else I need in advance. I'll be heading to the grocery store in about 20 minutes. I feel for those that have to go out in that every morning this coming week. It's amazing what the body can adapt to. On Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday this week, the highest temperature was probably about 10°......... today it got up to 25° and it felt warm.

Ross Stores is doing great, Kohl's is teetering on the edge. Down 75% over the past 5 years. I do a lot of shopping online, but it's mostly for household items like TP, toothpaste, laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, glass cleaner, etc. Try to make one big order every spring, enough for a year. That way I don't have to go out shopping for those things in the winter. The forecast lows for Sunday through Wednesday are -15° -20° -13° -11°

Lets Talk Old School Malls That Are Left

We had 2 in Mankato Minnesota. The Downtown Mall & Madison East. The downtown mall included theaters and was mostly small department/boutique stores. Madison East was anchored by Sears on one side & Woolworths on the other. I think the downtown mall still has a theater, but is a shell of his former self. ME is 90% healthcare related businesses now. I miss them. Whenever the subject of malls comes up, I always think of Dawn Of The Dead Walmart bought the Monroeville Mall in Pennsylvania for $34 million in February 2025. The mall is best known as the filming location for the 1978 movie Dawn of the Dead. Walmart plans to redevelop the mall into a retail & commercial destination.

Stock Market bubble - will crash

I'll check it out this weekend. Thanks!
  17. Now that's priceless. In Minnesota, estimates say that around 20% of people drive without insurance. Since 2023, undocumented immigrants in Minnesota have been able to get drivers' licenses. Early in 2023, I contacted my insurance agent and asked him the following. Now that illegals can get drivers licenses, and therefore purchase insurance, can I expect the amount I have to pay for underinsured/uninsured drivers every six months to drop ? Of course he couldn't answer the question, but I can tell you the amount has continued to increase. Similar to the lies we were told regarding renewable energy. You'll not only be saving the planet, rates will be lower. Those have continued to go up as well.

Mahomes Sr & John Rocker getting into it

The name sounded familiar, but I couldn't remember why until you posted..... "Imagine having to take the (No.) 7 train to (Shea Stadium) looking like you're (in) Beirut next to some kid with purple hair, next to some queer with AIDS, right next to some dude who got out of jail for the fourth time, right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It's depressing. "The biggest thing I don't like about New York are the foreigners," the 25-year-old Georgia native said. "You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?"

Stock Market bubble - will crash

Tesla continues to get slaughtered. Down over $60 since the post above this one. I'm afraid it could easily fall another $50 Yahoo finance has been my homepage since 1998. Always enjoyed commenting on Stocks, ETFs, etc. that I held, or was interested in. Now, there's a 50-50 chance that a seemingly civil comment like "didn't realize Teslas sales in China we're down that much last quarter, thanks" will be rejected ? It's almost as if Yahoo is trying to drive people away. If the comment problems weren't bad enough, the site has become excruciatingly slow. Any suggestions on other investing sites that allow comments ?

Odds to win next super bowl.

The Redskins should be a little higher on the list. As for the Vikings, this coming season will be #64 & they still haven't won, & haven't even been in one since 1977 That either means they're due, or cursed. I'll go with the latter.
