    projections are usually based on past production with a regression used to estimate the score.

    when plugging in rookies or backups, the projection goes crazy because there is a lack of data.  so it almost always under estimates rookies.   and late in the year it over estimates QB/s and WR.   because the weather often limits production.

    so late in the year your projections can be off by a significant amount.   So I have learned to ignore them for the most part.   they are a tool to compare players but not always a good one.

     

    also the fantasy gods work in strange ways.   I've learned that many times over.

     

    congrats on the win.  from the sound of things, you earned it.
