You got a lot of help from the Cubs third base coach today but that's what good teams do. Take advantage of it. Damn, I hate the loss but more than that I'm psyched Brown held his own against Skubal. That young dude was last on the Cubs starting pitching depth even before the injuries and killed it today against the best team in baseball. Such a great thing to see him really step up. Detroit played some stellar defense. This series is a great match up. I hope it's a sign of things to come. It's sweet to get that first win in a series like this. Congrats on the win but Go Cubs.

I'm a Chicago fan all the way through (minus the White Sox), but I'm really just sick of the Dodgers and Yankees. Tonight I'll make one of my smallest wagers ($35) on the Cubs. Me and a couple friends back in the day were huge track guys. Spent too much time at the OTBs, Maywood Park Harness, Arlington thoroughbreds. You take those chances when you are in your 20s, not when you have an established life. I had a group of friends for a few years once. We all hung out daily for like 2-3 years in a row. And for those who don't think women are obsessed about men, in my 20s and 30s I've never had so many 40 and 50 year old women coming on to me. I did love the older women at that point.
