On the flip side, are there still companies paying people for 40 hours of work that don't have 40 hours worth of work for them to do? I understand peaks and valleys, but if I'm paying someone to work 40 hours a week it's because the majority of the time I have 40 hours of work for them to do.

Yeah, being an adult isn't easy. Just like being a parent. Lots of sacrifices come with these things.
There are plenty of jobs out there that don't require 40 hours a week. Work one of those if you want a better work life balance. This isn't hard.

Lol, I remember that thread. Yeah Joe shut down the PSF because the report button was used too often for dumb things. Partially their fault for the inconsistent moderation. The mods actually punished people who were reported for dumb stuff and that exacerbated the reporting issue.

over 75% of covid deaths were in senior citizens. Many unvaccinated seniors remained unvaccinated due to their pre-existing health conditions.
Less than 7% of covid deaths were in people under 50 years old. They make up roughly 2/3 the US population. 94% of those deaths had at least 4 co-morbidities.

Because the US can be energy independent and totally independent if it wanted to be. The overwhelming majority of countries can not say that and therefore are at the mercy of other economies.

Hard disagree on more spending. The increased govt spending has devalued the dollar which is a driving factor for inflation.
I'm ok with student loan forgiveness if it comes from the universities and not the tax payer. In its current state student loan forgiveness is a regressive tax, which liberals have historically been against, but are good with it now.

The Macro view of these ideas make sense. The micro view and implementation is where these ideas always fall apart and why the pro gun community will never buy in.
I don't believe this guy was determined to be mentally ill. He was admitted to mental facility and released. That whole process falls in the "gray" area and why I personally won't condone violating civil liberties in the name of public safety.
