Thanks for the welcome, Mufaletta. & yes ... I've definitely spent a draft pick on Steve Young before. You must be from NOLA or S. Louisiana.

well .... I'm not a Taylor Swift fan ... far from it, but my Grand-Daughter does watch the NFL now. That I do like. It doesn't really bother me when the camera shows her everytime Kelce makes a catch. It's like somebody said "I would rather the camera show her, than some guy sitting there with no shirt on, in sub-freezing temperatures". Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for the inquiry. --- Yes, I'm in a couple of NFL FF Leagues. I started playing again five years ago, after a 24 year leave of absence. I was actually a Packers fan, as a kid, because they owned the Cowboys. Now ... my favorite team is whoever is playing against the Cowboys. I don't actually have a favorite team now. I'm have lived my entire life in the East Texas piney woods. I mainly pull for the teams that players from this area play on. Current players .... Mahomes, Trent Williams, Jamycal Hasty. Some of the former high school players that played within 50-60 miles of where I'm sitting now include Earl Campbell, Billy Sims, Adrian Peterson, Bobby Taylor, Lovie Smith, Max Mcgee (caught the 1st Super Bowl TD), Robert Newhouse, Dez Bryant, Don Meredith, Ken Houston, Larry Centers, and Your own NY Giants Yelberton Abraham (Y.A.) Tittle Jr., plus quite a few more. The High School I root for in this area has put 47 players in the pros. That is from a city of less than 100k population, but they have been playing football for 115 years. Some of their alumni are Trent Williams, Hasty, Bobby Taylor, Chris Ivory, Josh Scobee, Malcolm Kelly, Earnest Hunter.
  10. Well now.... wouldn't it be boring if we all had the same strategy. I also play in a 14 team full ppr. I have won it the past two seasons, using my "mistake" free strategy of drafting an early TE. --- Maybe ... just maybe I won the "ff gold" because others waited until the "double digit" rounds to draft their TE-QB-K-D/ST. I also picked up Ford..... but no way would I drop my TE to get him. Ford ended up RB25 ppg in my league, so I had a RB2. After I had played the Chubb owner I traded Ford & a throw in to him for Olave, who finished WR22 ppg in my league. We play with only a four player bench and draft 12 ..... so I couldn't take a TE-QB-K-D/ST in the "double-digit" rounds even if I thought it was a sound strategy. I have enough confidence in my abilities to take an early QB & TE, and be able to draft a sleeper RB or WR2 later in the draft, or pick up one or trade for one. I just curious ... but you said you went TE-QB-K-D/ST in rounds 10-11-12-13 .... so you draft nine RB & WR in the first nine rounds? --- If so..... "Mistakes like that, is what helps others win ff gold". Good luck to you "Ol' Podner" & maybe you can play with few "mistakes" & bring home the "ff gold" --- thanks
  11. I don't think Kelce, for sure, or really any TE worth having, can be had in the "double digit" rounds. I personally prefer to have a TE that can get at least WR2 type numbers. Every year, without fail, RB's & WR's come out of nowhere, and put up good numbers - TE"s not so much. It could be because of injury to the starter ahead of them, exceeding their projections, starter underperforming, or maybe an impatient owner dropping a player that starts slow. I will pick up one of those players and continue to draft a top TE by at least round #5. In the long haul I think that will make my roster more balanced & effective.

    Justin Herbert wide receivers

Johnson -- 1st round draft capital McConkey - early 2nd draft capital Palmer - chemistry with Herbert Give me the chemistry McConkey is likely the only one drafted in my main league (14 team with a 4 player bench) -- My early draft strategy is to draft Chubb, put him on IR after the draft & then go pick up my 1st free agent ... Palmer as my weak azz Wr#3

You got it .... but I'm old & sometimes still add by "pencil & paper". And for the record, I'm a native Texan, but also a proud certified & registered Dallas Cowboy hater!

The commissioner of the 14 team knew me, and they were short one manager. He knew I had owned Armchair, and that I was heavily involved in all fantasy at one time. I thought, why not.... I'm retired and may get lucky and win a little extra money.
  15. Knowing me & as much as I believe a top TE is the key, I will probably crater and take him mid to late 2nd if that is where I pick.
